Hacking On 5.4 will I be able to download and upload mario maker levels?

I don't want to update to 5.5, I read you can spoof, but seems only available for 5.32. Will I not be allowed to use the online mario maker interface? I just purchased a wiiu a week ago and I'm waiting for my mario maker game to be delivered.

you can't play mario maker at all without being on or spoofed to 5.5, so yeah you basically just wasted your money on a game you can't play unless you want to update.

i seem to remember that Mario Maker comes with 5.4, so it should work on a 5.4 console. But obviously online won't work, and there's no way around that except updating. Online is a pretty important feature in the game.

Thanks for the answers. Hmm, debating on what to do. I hacked my wii back when that was popular, but out of the scene for some time. I know there is no timetable for releasing exploits, but can someone give their opinion on 5.4 vs. 5.5? I read they both have private exploits and they won't be released until they are patched. Do people thin 5.4 will come out a long time before 5.5? Waiting an extra couple of months won't be so bad if I can play mario maker now

5.5 still has a private webkit and kernel exploit so I'd say update now before 5.6 comes out which patches those and you're screwed.

Does this mean once 5.4 is exploited 5.5 won't be far off? Is 5.4 s lot more exploitable than 5.5 or is the whole thing for waiting just because it is older and the hacking scene waits until exploits are patched?

I can't disagree with this more. SMB hacks (especially 1) are usually completely dull.

And while SMM has lack-luster levels 90% of the time, when you get the good ones, they're far better than any SMB hack can do, due to the editor and the new items.

well you can play it fine with loadiine and such but without online that is the only way i can think of playing mario maker on 5.3.2 without spoof.

But yeah mario maker isnt even a game without online, sure you can play those random levels made by nintendo or make your own offline but that its preety damn boring.

I'm enjoying making my own level at the moment but would be nice to share with online functions at some point

You have to consider, that the exploit for 5.4 will be released sooner than the one for 5.5 if memory serves me right. You can certainly get it at a later point in time, but the date for its release could also be after the release of 5.6 and that would also stop you from playing Super Mario Maker, even if it's a bit of time you can already play it.

the only way to acess online functionality of mario maker so far is

1- real 5.5.0 with real disc/e shop version.

2- 5.3.2 with spoof and real disc/e shop download.


any other setup so far wont work.

both 5.4 and 5.5 are fully exploited, the exploit just won't be released until certain conditions are met. I reccommend you update to 5.5.

Im also on 5.5, if you Really wanna play Mario maker while waiting but when 5.6 comes you will have to update to play online so
I therefore recommend staying on 5.4 incase 5.5 gets patched out in the future but they are waiting so it should be ok
