Do you think using an older version of gateway would be safer? Is this something they did in the latest version to add new detection for this card?

Yeah, 3.4.1 was the last version before dstwo+ was released. It should be totally safe.

After my wife wanted to do me a favour, she brought my 3ds to the vendor where I've bought it. 3 days warranty left, I got it back a week ago. New Mainboard and new top screen and on firmware 10.0.2.21-e

Not the best that could happend, but I've a new console to sell... So it's still pretty good ;-)

Really? Yeah I missed it ;-)
You have a link to a tutorial by hand?
https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-the-simple-guide-to-downgrading-your-3ds.407888

PS as always follow the guide and dont skip any steps....some people hae bricked in the process but most of the bricks appear to be people being stupid and turning off mid downgrade/ flashing n3DS files to a o3DS etc, those things always happen when a new group of people get access to something, some people rush over the edge blindly

thing is, everybody is banging on about how gateway are issuing 'warnings' to people not to use their code in clone cards, but wouldn't they do that even if the brick code didn't/doesn't exist? Is that not called 'protecting whats theirs?' If you put a 'beware of the dog' sign on your gate for example, even if you don't own a dog most people would believe it. do we have photos of this bluescreen? how do we even know whether or not the majority of the people saying it aren't working for or have some affiliation with gateway?

Looking into this at all should have allowed him to see that could happen.

Alright next time something shitty happens to you I will be sure to remind you that it is your fault. The victim is always at fault according to you. He should have been a no life and researched for 10 days straight with no sleep.

let be honest he isnt a "victim" he ran unsigned code on his console, he chose to do it, so yeah its his fault (at least partially), its not like nintendo slipped it into a legit game, or he accessed a site that happened to have 3DS specific brick code embedded, it was a conscious decision to run unsigned and unvetted code that came from dubious sources, is it nice it happened....nope, could it have been avoided....sure, but is he a completely innocent bystander who had no input in the event....nope

He is a victim,he payed good money for expensive hardware. How was he supposed to know that the software would brick his console? This is very filthy of gateway to do. Still doesn't explain the assholeness some of the members here exhibit. Talk about pouring salt on a wound.
