Hardware 2DS screen doesn't appear after going out of sleep mode

Hi, I have a problem of black screen with my 2DS.
Today, someone pulled me off and in my movements I brought my 2DS to the ground, then a few books fall over it The console was off at this time and when I tested it by switching it on, it worked. Then I simply switched it off.
A few hours later, I played with it a bit then activated the waking state during the menu screen (with the sliding button) in order to visit the toilets. When I came back and removed it from this state, the screen sadly didn't come back. I slide the waking button again several times but the only effect is to trigger the waking state vanishing LED (like it should normally do). Obviously when I turn the wake off, the screen still remains black (and the vanishing LED comes back to its normal working state, always shining).
I read the manual troubleshooting part and it advises to turn the console off. I pushed the power button but it never went off. Then I searched over the Internet and only find the following solution: to open the console plastic and check if something was moved. But it requires to turn the console off and that is impossible in the current situation.
Since the fall, the two plastic plates have no more little gap.
When I mentionned I pushed the power button, I mean I kept it pushed a while to force it. But nothing happened.

After unplugging it, I wanted to try again to wake it up so I slided the button to the left then back to the right but now the console is blocked on SLEEP mode.

They only want to put their hands on my console, sadly. First I must wait until the battery is exhausted then write a ticket on the Nintendo.fr customers page and send my 2DS to them. They will "have a look at it", "repair it if possible", "update it if needed", "replace it in the worst case".
So at the end, either I lost the games already on the console and the remaining eshop credits and/or I lost the ability to play my imported games and the ones I ordered who are on their way (depending of the verdict)

The console is on 10.1.something and used ironhax.

PS: I posted this on multiple forums but always get the same "Nintendo" answer (+ sometimes the "you bought import? stealer!" thing). I finally try here in the case the population could be more open-minded.

Hold the power for 10-30 seconds, and if that doesn't turn it off let the battery die and try turning it on.

Usually to force most devices to turn off is to hold the power button, slider in this case for more than 10 seconds it should turn off.

Also did you try removing the SD card, that is also a white screen cause for the 3ds

No, this is no white screen, this is a sleep mode screen: it is entirely black.

No, this is no white screen, this is a sleep mode screen: it is entirely black.

My 2DS takes about a full 30 seconds to shut down when holding power down.

I had the tools with the right size for the crews but they never turned around.

Twist it slightly tighter, then turn it the other way. This can help unscrewing difficult screws. Also know that you only have to unscrew the top two screws. these screws will not come out completely, but will be easy to turn when they're out far enough. Then put your fingernail under the slight indenture at the top and pop off the top section. You'll be able to remove the battery. Hold down the power button for a few seconds, pop your battery back in, and try and turn it on.

There are two large black "things" centered on the top pf the console's back (between the two screws). It seems they keep the parts together despite the fact I unscrewed the two top screws, should I force on it?

If yours looks different than mine, you'll have to take a picture for me. This is the back of my 2ds. The screws are highlighted, and the camera lenses are there as well. The camera lenses are not attached to that back plate, so as long as you have unscrewed the screws enough, it should just pop off if you pry it off using the tab indenture (also labeled).

What you can also do is as you're trying to pry it with a fingernail, continue to unscrew the screws. You should be able to feel them pop out when you've unscrewed them enough. You don't have to put a lot of pressure, just enough as if you were sliding off a slightly difficult to open slot on the back of a remote or something.

So now it won't turn on when you have the sleep slider slid to the left(off)? oof, that's not good. If you plug a charger into it, does the battery charge light come on?

Of course it does. ^^ After all, even after the accident, the console worked perfectly fine. The problem came only when I tried to get it out of sleep mode after playing it and letting it in sleep mode. (I wrote all that above)

Just trying to narrow down a few things =] So after you took out the battery, and the console turned off, are you saying it won't come back on after you turn off sleep mode, put the battery back in, then press the power button?

If that's the case, someone with a bit more experience with the 2ds will have to help out as it seems to be a hardware thing.

Exactly. But I couldn't turn the sleep mode off, I think. Because, it can't be canceled: I wrote above that I tried without any success to remove the sleep mode by pulling on and d off again the sleep switch after the device got stuck into it. And that was the problem since the beginning.
I suppose the sleep button has been damaged or something like that, because the system worked absolutely fine when I turned it on (without any problem) after the accident.

That sounds like a strong contender for the problem. Once you pull the battery, the console is off. It won't retain any memory of it being in "sleep mode". Being off cancels that out, if you will. As long as the sleep mode slider is set to "off", you should be able to turn on the console just fine. But if the sleep mode slider is slid to "on", the 2ds will not turn on. So it could be as simple as the slider is broken on the inside and just won't slide to "off". I realize this is pretty much what you've said, I just like being clear and thorough =]

You'll have to google that particular problem though, I have no personal experience with that repair.

So, the sleep button problem is now resolved (through an independant reparation shop). But the black screens problem remains -_-
I lean toward a Nintendo SAV console swap, but before that, is there anyone here who would sold a "fresh" (no linked account) used european 2DS with the old Ironfall / ironhax pre-installed? (in a correct state, I would buy for retail price of course)

Same thing happened to me while playing pokemon, so I tried everything, then I just kept sliding the sleep mode button over ten times and it was fixed, so try that?
