Homebrew Can I make the 3DS connect to a router without internet?

I have an old Zyxel50 router, that I have set up as "NintendoSpotPass1". It gets recognized, but the 3DS just repeatedly disconnects and reconnects, because it has no internet connection.

Basically the only thing I'm trying to do is to use 3dslink to send a .3dsx to the homebrew launcher, but the hblauncher just says that "NetLoader is currently unavailable".

Is there a way to trick the 3DS believing that it can connect to the internet?

Btw, I also have an Android phone if there's some app that I could use.

If you don't mind using some data, you could just use your phone as a hotspot.

Yes, that's my problem, that I'm not gonna have any internet connection available.

FAST6191: I did a little research. Sadly, it looks like the 3DS is sending stuff to Nintendo via HTTPS connections, and if it's successful, it marks the access point as having internet connection. So it's not possible

So I'll have to use the tedious and painful SD-swapping method

Also yes, I noticed that if I turn the data on, and the 3DS connects, I can turn off the data for a while before the 3DS notices it.

You can use your phone as a local only access point by disabling mobile data and tethering your 3DS with your phone and any other devices. Though the 3DS is able to detect if there's really an internet connection.

Ive also had this problem with 3DS Controller and FTPony. The service that controls the wireless connection it is most like on the arm 9 processor.

You can use a proxy like Fakemii to trick the 3ds, but you might have to alter the script a little since it redirects everything but the connection test to the gateway launcher.

It's supposed to be a network loader. It doesn't mean it needs to be connected to the internet (though currently it seems to be the case).
You shouldn't have to connect to the internet just to upload or download something from or to the 3DS on the same network but you can't do that without the 3DS detecting an internet connection (for some reason).

Yes, and the 3ds will fail the connection test on the network which, which won't let you properly connect to the local network, which makes homebrews like ftbrony and anything else network related not function properly, the goal was "use something like FTBrony without connecting to the internet with the network" sorry for the rant but I usually find posts like yours are made from not reading/misreading things

Ok. So if you are using a N3DS and trying to use the SD Manager then yes you can use a router without Internet access.

I suggest deleting the internet profile you have for that router in your 3DS.

Then Add it back.

It will attempt to do a network test and tell you it could not connect to the Internet.

Launch the SD Management and it should work!

If you are trying to connect for other reasons then I have no idea if it will work or not.

Thank you zoogie . I only needed to download nodej v0.9.9 for my windows xp and run the bat. Now i can use the client ftp to only transfer files without connect to "internet".
