my phone has better specs, except for the cpu, in some ways. mine s octacore with 1.5 GHz clock speed, but that cpu is grta. and the gpu in those things are rettygoo too.

the shield console seems to running GC dolphin at near full speed and there is a new graphics API on the way for marshmallow or the next update after marshmallow so maybe the dolphin developers can get it to full speed in the next year

monday, after i get my phone back will test to see how well my phone handles the mor intense emulators. my phone plays ds roms and n64 games at 76 FPS

Yes, it is a ten inch tablet and it is running Windows 10. That gives it access to the complete Steam library and all the accessories and software Windows provides.
Android is not a benefit, it is a weakness in terms of gaming.

i want something that runs apps i want a 1st tablet, since i also do not own an ipad
just an older laptop and a fairly new, albeit totally useless utrabook
the shiels is attractive to me cause it can run games as well ad be a tablet that runs everyday tablet functions
also i image that arm is more true to specs in terms of battery life as well
if had my choice and 3 grand to drop i would bin this POS ultrabook and my old i3 laptop and get the surface book i7 with 1tb
and and the new shield , i don't like the surface because the keyboard hinge and kick stand make it unusable for use sitting up in bed
but i don't like the surface book either because it is 14" ,way too big to used as a tablet
maybe the next gen core M windows tablets will finally be usable but right now they are too weak or they have fans
another thing that should not be in a mobile device, like full windows
my i7 ultrabook convertible i found is the worst of both worlds too weak to even web browse , too weak to use as a laptop and still too big heavy and goofy to be used as a tablet , nothing runs smooth in x86 mode and the batter life is not even 1/10th of what was promised

if the other poster thinks thinks that an intel atom will run dolphin better than an invidia shield x1 then let him put his money where his mouth is lets see him run it on that piece of crap

because it runs near full speed already on the shield console
i would love to see a side by side comparison test of dolphin on both devices

seems like it would be uncomfortable because the KB hinge is not rigid , it just flops back and you have to sue the kickstand
not sure that is really practical for me
plus i think it is too soon to buy one, they release the 4 like 6 months after the 3 they have made a lot of improvements i will wit till they make a smaller surface book of a surface tab that is as powerful as the i7 surface book but has fanless core M
core M has 1/3 less power consumption and is getting close in performance to the i7
i have not actually used anything over haswell gen and i do not trust intel at all , really dont trust MS anymore after the RT fiasco i pitty anyone who wasted all that money on a surface 2

really i would like to see that so liquid and no fan or liquid and still a fan?

yeah obviously not right now but intels core M had decent specs and one of the surface models use it i think
i am saying in the next couple of gens it should get where i7 is now
fans are a huge headache my fan died not even a year into my haswell purchase took almost 3 months to get it back from warranty and now it is sounding like it is going to shit the be again ,not even 6 months later
tablets and ultrabooks need to solve this problem ipad air 2 has no fan nor does the shield K1
it is way too much money to waste on something that has major problem that i feel WILL be solves in the next year or 2
i have serious regrets on the money i wasted on this i7 ultrabook i would not have so much regret if i only waste 300 on a shield tab
even if it has a fan
this is why i would not buy a surface with I 5/7 fans do not really belong i tablets and ultramobile devices and
this is going to change fairly soon and it is a major change one that will have users who dropped all this cash on these devices now regret it
this is something that will really make people have to have an upgrade
