some text editor, which will save/load/execute/edit lpp scripts directly on 3ds(via touchscreen), and highlight the functions in colors, like notepad++ does. any interest?

I wanna make something like it, it sounds easy for my level of knowledge, but I don't wanna spend time on something useless. so, yeah..

I had this idea long ago but didn't do it for the same reason as you, I don't know how.

I remember having a lot of fun programming with Petit Computer. That had a keyboard on the touch screen, and I didn't mind.
1. I think i'll find out the "how" 'cause it doesn't look that hard, the problem is that i'm lazy...
2. I just recently (half-a-year ago) learned about petit(and smile basic-petit for 3ds) and it looks really cool, but they aren't released to europe still, so...
I think that a netloader for lpp-3ds would be more useful, and plugins could be done for IDEs like Sublime Text, Notepad++, Visual Studio, etc
sorry for dumb question, but whats "netloader"?

i'll be glad to see anybody who can contribute some graphic/point me to what to do(my first project in 3ds)

sending the code to the 3ds via network to run it

Won't it take a while to do so on a small touch screen that needs constant switching between ABC123 and special character keyboard sets?
Execution of lpp scripts would be the worth-it thing.
there is already a way to execute lpp on 3ds- search for "lpp-3ds" on this forum
the thing is to make it easily editable on the 3ds itself w/o pc

just look at the 3dsx netloader in the Homebrew Launcher and you'll understand

There's multiple FTP servers for the 3DS. The one that comes with the 3DS Homebrew Starter kit seems to be the one that has better supported functions.
As they're all open source, you could use parts of any of them to do the job of being an FTP server.
I wasn't talking about ftp at all

I haven't been gaming for such a long time. Been mostly busy with sleep, hardware tinkering and checking GBAtemp frequently.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Hope you've had a good morning.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
It's going alright thanks :) I know what you mean with gaming time. It's precious where I can get it these days.

There's also this thing where I'm hyperfocused at night and cannot get to sleep.

    @Maximumbeans, I'm doing alright, thanks.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.

@Maximumbeans, I had a friend who had a glass chess set for their birthday.

It was like all clear and fancy. Tbf I'm not too experienced with chess, but would like to learn someday.

    That sounds really cool
