Please, somebody help me before i throw my PS3 from my 4th story apartment balcony.

I must be upto at 8 hours at the very minimum, trying to get Red Dead Redemption GOTY BLES01294 working on my PS3.

My setup is REBUG 4.76 CEX, I use Iris Manager to launch my games (And yes i have played with all combinations of game settings already) and no matter what I try, i always get error 80010007. All my other games work like a charm.

Now. i've been led to believe my game-rip isn't an official scene release and it's probably been resigned 3.55 for CFW's and ODDE etc. etc. No problem, I've tried an EBOOT resigner and i still get this error. My games got a PARAM.SFO too and i can't find a utility to resign that for higher firmwares so i'm guessing that's why it doesn't work on my 4.76.

I'm pretty handy with google, i can BOOLEAN until the cows come home, but i can't find a straight answer or PC-side utility that can resign my EBOOT and SFO for higher firmware.

Nor can I, with my nifty search skills, find an unmodified EBOOT for this game. Searches only lead to dead filehosting links.

I've also tried fiddling with various rebug DEX settings (spoofing certain things and this and that) to no avail.

Please, oh please, somebody please point me in the right direction on how to get this game to work before i play the "how many pieces can i break this consumer electronic device into" game.

Oh, and save the "just buy the game" nonsense- I live in Thailand, a country where PS3 launch titles are still worth what they were in 2006 PLUS a bit more due to my dwindling Australian dollar and poor exchange rate. Most people should understand that charging that kind of money for aging PS3 software is daylight robbery.

Thanks alot :)

EDIT: Oh, i should probably mention that my internet speed is 128kb/s 3G connection, so re-downloading isn't an option, as is purchasing it legitimately on the PSN.

Unfortunately, the last part may be your only option, or finding the original eboot.

80010007 on a disc based game is a good sign that whomever resigned the eboot did it improperly or the file is corrupted.

Thanks for the reply mate :)

If it makes an difference, i ran the EBOOT through a PC app called iSO Tools to check the validity and it told me everything was OK with it.

try to use another launcher like multiman, webman. Don't know why you're using irismanager when you can use webman on 4.76 cex

Thanks to you also :)

Umm, from memory, the reason i chose Iris Manager was because the 30+ meg Multiman download kept timing out on my sloooow internet connection. Iris was really tiny, so I grabbed that instead.

But i'll be sure to try and get Multiman again since you mentioned it. Thanks alot!

If you're not sure if it's been resigned, try using PS3 ISO Rebuilder and see if you can find a matching IRD file. Put the folder through it. Program will check the hash of each file and see if it matches the original disc. Can see if any eboots/self files aren't the originals.

OK i managed to get Multiman installed (found a late version on an ext HDD i dragged over from Aus) and tried to launch the game. Same thing happened again, 80010007 error. It's got to be the EBOOT and other files being resigned for 3.55

Thanks alot for the suggestion, i'll try it out and see what happens!

I'm certain my old psx-scene and ps3hax logins are still valid, perhaps i'll go and beg for original EBOOTs over there. Or try and steal a cafe's WIFI and burn 10 gigs there. Or, god forbid, save up my beer money and BUY IT :O

Apologies for the double post but...... HOLY SH*T, I got it to work!!!

I selected "game update" in the game options menu. My version was 1.00 and it updated to 1.01 and in the process it must have given me unmodified EBOOTs etc. and it WORKS.

I'm not joking when i say it's literally been about 9 hours trying to get this working. Funny thing is, i tried the same method in IRIS manager not 2 hours ago and the same error happened.

I don't understand all the anti-DEANK and anti-Mulitman drama that happens in the PS3 scene. I should of just tried multiman from the start. Thanks all that helped.

And no, I'm not affiliated with anyone, I'm just relieved that i didn't have to destroy my PS3.

Glad to hear it worked! Not all game have updates, but yea my guess was the damaged eboot. (You can use PS3 Tools to get updates offline or look inside PKG files to see what files are there)
