OP
So when Smea said he updated the payloads, I went and downloaded the new starter an used the ironhax installer to update my save files with the 10.3 payload. They installed succesfully and so I updated the system. Now when I load my Ironhax save file it does the quick loading screen like normal, says "The homemenu ropbin is ready" and then it kicks me out of the game and the 3DS says "An error has occured. Please save your data"blahblahblah.

whats wrong am i fucked

Yeah, you going to want to pick up CN or OOT. (Bestbuy recently put up brand new copies for 40 bucks)

I suggest you check the build date for the payload on the loading screen. It might not indicate whether that is the right payload for 10.3(I think something else on it helps with that? Not sure), but if it's as recent as his tweet, then the payload should be fine.

I don't think you can do much if you got the wrong payload, by the way. :/

The last time I installed Ironhax, my 3DS froze like 5 times in a row when I tried to boot the hax.

Maybe you have the same problem, try again until it boots (if it does).

I dont have Linux who the hell has Linux
while probably not a "shitton" as said above, a lot of people do have Linux, and so far is the only supported method for smashhax. you can use a live USB/CD for something like Ubuntu.

not to mention, yellows8 appears to be using Linux as well.

I dont have fucking Linux who the hell has Linux

Well me (and lots of other people in this post) use Linux pretty much for everything... Especially with wine which can run Windows programs... So that odd time you need to use a windows program you just run the exe right in Linux and you're good to go... Installation time is really fast, especially when you're someone who does a lot of OS installation (me) it takes less than a third of the time to install when compared to Windows, then using a good package manager you can just type in a few things in terminal, leave, come back and most of the applications you'd like on your computer are installed and you're ready to go... While it's quite incorrect that Linux can't get viruses (which is a common thinking among some people), it is the case that it isn't very often targeted and it is very secure and has much more security and much faster security fixes when major or minor flaws are found in the system vs Windows... It also is much lighter weight, it takes less RAM, uses less CPU to maintain the desktop and other services running in the background and is usually faster in many areas like boot time and program loading times. It's also open source which is something many people value, the option to look over the code that is running on your computer is often important in terms of security... Anyways as said above if you don't want to install it, yet another advantage of it is that you can just run a live DVD or flash drive, boot it up, do your thing then take the DVD or flash drive out of your system and your computer will remain unmodified
