Is there any downsides to using bios files?Gpsp runs at full speed but requires bios files, MGBA on the other hand is bios free and is more customizable and supports gyro controls for wario ware twisted (correct me If I am wrong) but is slow for many games.
Nope imo but they are a tough nut to find online tho. Make sure to follow the instructions as well.

Getting "unsupported version, update payloads"? I just downloaded the latest homebrew starter kit though..Place them in retroarch/cores/system on your sd root.

2.5, to avoid any more hassle, i just used mgba. I assume you used mGBA before, how do you enlarge the screen? Right now, the screen is only a tiny box on the XL. Is there an option to stretch? What hax are you using?
If you are getting that error you actually have to reinstall your hax(es). There was an update to the 2.5 payload.Getting "unsupported version, update payloads"? I just downloaded the latest homebrew starter kit though..
