Hello I followed a tut from here https://gbatemp.net/threads/simple-guide-to-install-cios-on-vwii-backup-nand-and-keys.339890/ I seem to have everything in order but my gcn games using another guide from this site is being recognized by usb loader gx but won't load giving me an error message (i can post a pic if someone needs to see the error) while my wii game will display also but when i launch it i get a black screen.

Im using a 500gb hdd that was formatted with easeus as fat32 with 32kb cluster (?) I have a two tools one for the gcn backups and another for the wii backups (forget their names). I create two folders to the root of the usb hdd (one called games for gcn backups the other wbfs for wii backups) but again I can't not get either to start.

Any help would be highly appreciated!

are you using a y cable? vwii needs y cables for hdds that dont have their own power supply also can you use nintendont directly trough homebrew channel?

Yes im using a y-cable and here is the pic of the error.. (bear in mind, in usb loader gx i set the path to auto) I believe that the paths are main/sd/sd/main/sd etc etc..Point is ive played with all paths and most will recognize the games but i cannot load the games because of this error....

I doubled checked to see if the hdd im using does indeed have a primary partition and according to windows 10 it does...

Can you launch the gc games directly from nintendont homebrew channel app?

No It will exit saying that the usb games dir cannot be found....
im preety sure your partition isnt correct, i remnber a similar issue and only mbr partitions worked or something like that also, if you want to have both gc games and wii games on the same partition why are you using partitions and dont use the entire drive as fat32?

Yes I do have inside pics of the folders for the gc games and yes i just used easeus and realized that their were 3 partitions. I tried to merge them into 1 but it wont allow me. It always has 2 partitions and ive tried using the least space possible and its a 2.0 mb unallocated sector of the hdd. Can you recommed a program that will format my hdd to fat 32 with 32kb entirely?

ill give it a shot

well i tried 64kb 32kb im ripping my hair out! same problem. When i format the hdd it will have an unallocated space reserved. I don't know how to merge this space to the entire drive as you said? I made the space about 1.0 mb

i found a random program, can you give you the name if you want... but still the same problem... sigh...

Use this, pick up a usb flash drive formated with fat32, put at least 1 gamecube game inside your GAMES folder and try to lunch it. If it launches the problem is with the partition of your hard drive. I used easus partition manager and made the fat32 partition with 32 kb and set it to primary (this is important).
