Homebrew Custom Menu Themes help before I update? I've used TubeHax previously on my JP new 3DS w/V.10.1.0-27

Hey, this is my first post on this site, so just let me know if I do anything stupid. I used homebrew before on my JP new 3DS with TubeHax, but never got around to messing with custom menu themes. Then the previous update happened, and I saw on 3Dbrew that TubeHax no longer worked whether you had done the update or not. I also saw that MenuHax v2.0 could still be installed if you hadn't updated, but had used homebrew on the system previously... Some more time passed because I was too busy, and now I can't seem to figure out what to do, or even how to find the Readme file for it. Any help would be appreciated!

EDIT: The original issue was resolved, then I accidentally updated the system when it was at Ver. 10.3.0-28. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to launch homebrew again without an error. BrowserHax is no longer working (I'm still using the trick where I tap the icon immediately after turning the power on), and the shortcut buttons I was using for MenuHax no longer launches it.

Can anyone tell me if there's any difference in how I have to launch it now, with Ver. 10.3.0-28, compared to how I did it before, with Ver. 10.1.0-27? (It seems like if there wasn't, it would already work just like it did before...)

As you're on an N3DS with 10.1.0-27, you can use BrowserHax ; be sure you still have the TubeHax DNS set, turn off the wireless communication, scan this QR code (by holding L+R in the HOME menu, and clicking on the square button thing on the touchscreen), quit the browser, enable wireless communication, launch the browser. If you have the necessary files, the HBL will open, and then you should be able to install MenuHax 2.

You need to have 107.211.140.065 set as DNS on the connexion you're using (system settings>connexion settings>:theConnexionYou'reUsing:>DNS>Auto Obtain DNS set on NO>advanced settings>primary DNS. Don't forget to save, or else... )

I must not have all the necessary files. Was I supposed to add any for BrowserHax? If not, could I have put the files in the wrong folder maybe?

To launch the Homebrew Launcher, you need the same file as TubeHax ; boot.3dsx in the root of your SD card. For MH2, you need to download it, and place the decompressed folder into the "3ds" folder on your SD card.
(btw, I recommend using this boot.3dsx, if you'll use the HBL often, it is really convenient to use)

The "root" of the SD card means not in the 3DS folder, right? I tried it both ways with the one you recommended, and still can't get it to launch.

Oh, that's probably the error telling you to update your browser...
In this case, you need to go to the home menu, put the cursor on the internet browser, turn your console off, and turn it on again while spamming the "A" button to launch the browser immediately

If you are on a new 3DS, you can bypass that update notification message.
Turn off your 3DS, turn it back on, open browser as fast as you can. It should bypass the notification.

Also could you take a picture of the error? Someone might be able to tell you what it is.

I've tried that five times, and I get the same error. It comes up about one second after the browser opens.

Strange... It seems that it's an internet connexion error...
Can you disable the DNS and then retry the whole thing (turn off, etc) to see if that works?

Yeah, this isn't the update nag.

I wouldn't recommend disabling the DNS, because tubehax dns is supposed to be updated to block the browser update nag :/
(Not that it'd be much of a problem for new 3DS users atm.)

I don't know much Japanese, but I know enough to be able to figure that part out.

I'm not even sure what you guys mean by disabling the DNS. You mean put it back on Auto-Obtain?

I'm getting a full signal, so you know. This is the top screen when the error is displayed...

The picture I took where it nags me to update was when I had the DNS set to auto-obtain. The second one with the network error was when I had the tubehax DNS enabled.
In both cases, I had a good internet signal the only difference is that I enabled/disabled the DNS.

You are on N3DS, so you *should* be able to safely run the browser without the DNS that blocks the nag, because you can still access the browser if you turn off your 3DS, turn it back on and then immediately open the browser as fast as you can.

It does the same thing whether I open the browser while it's turning on, or any other time. It opens, then the error comes up.
