Homebrew [?] Can I do a system transfer to pass Ironhax and/or Themehax to another 3DS?

Just got a N3DSXL for my birthday yesterday. :)
But, as the title implies, is it possible to pass Ironhax or Themehax to another 3DS via system transfer? I know that the system transfer requires both devices to be updated to the latest firmware, so I have a strong feeling that Themehax will not do the trick at all.
But what I'm not so sure about is Ironhax. I have the pre-patched version of Ironfall, but I'm unsure that now that it's patched on the eShop, the system transfer will redownload Ironfall, but the patched version instead.
Is it OK to do a transfer, or should I wait for now? I've heard people tried a workaround by using HANS with System Settings, but failed at it, but maybe somebody might get around that soon...

EDIT: Forgot to mention that the o3DS is on 10.1, and the N3DSXL has yet to be opened.

As of right now, 10.1 on the o3DS, and the N3DS hasn't even been taken out of the box yet.
Probably should have mentioned that in OP. :P

N3DS can use still browserhax on any supported firmware version (9.9 and up must use DNS), and new consoles donwt have 10.2 yet AFAIK, so you can install Themehax however.
I realy don't know so much how system transfer works, but I guess you can use hans spoof firmware to use that feature. I realy don't know about pepatched version and savegame.
there is always a chance to get exploitable FW (9.0-9.2), if so, use browserhax to install cfw.

I did a system transfer and still had my original Ironhax available. Since you're transferring from an Old 3DS to a New 3DS, I would use the Ironhax installer to install the new 3ds payload so that once the transfer is complete then you are ready to go :D

Awesome! Looks like there are good chances to get homebrew still, but for now, I'm gonna wait. I just realized that I need a higher capacity microSD card for my N3DS (I have a lot of downloaded title games :P).
Thanks for the help, everybody! :)

There are still high chances that newly bought N3DS have firmware 9.0. That way you should be able to use Browserhax still to install Menuhax (Themehax), and you would have access to CFW.

Make sure you do a transfer by PC. This means you are going to have to manually copy the files on your O3DS' SD Card to your N3DS' SD Card. All your downloaded games and their saves are stored there encrypted. That way, you are guaranteed to have the same IronFall on your N3DS as you did on your O3DS. And also, like said above, you should update your IronHax on your O3DS with a N3DS payload so that when the transfer is complete, you wouldn't be required to reinstall IronHax.

I'll be sure to reply here to tell you if it worked or not. It may take a while though. I have finals this week, plus I need to buy a microSD card to do the transfer. Let's just say that I don't have a wallet yet. :P

I'm assuming that CFW means custom firmware, right? I never was interested in it, since I was always in a higher firmware version. Just in case that the N3DS is on 9.0, what does having CFW benefit and how would I go to install it?

I don't think that would work, actually. I've attempted a manual transfer through copy/paste the files to a new SD card, but it doesn't show them in the Home Menu since the system checks if the files are from the original 3DS, like an ID check (at least that's my theory). I'm guessing that's why the System Transfer app is for.

That's why I said "transfer by PC" and not "copy the files over." You can't just copy the files over using the SD card and it'll magically work. You must use the system transfer app to do it without a kernel exploit. And when you do, you will have three different options to do the transfer. I don't remember the other two but I remember one being called "transfer by PC" in which you need to copy the files over before it can continue with the full system transfer.

Oh, last time I did a transfer, the only way to transfer was a wireless transfer between the systems; but that was a long time ago; so I guess there are new ways to do it now.

instructions are in this thread. you'll have to dump the sys trans with braindump, then hex edit to be able to sys transfer everything w/o updating.

as for ironhax transfering over - yes. it transferred over for me fine.
themehax will not work, you'll have to use ironhax to fix that.
I was wondering if somebody got that working, thanks for the heads up! :)
Time to search the thread!

Well you can install 3DS games for free you can have kernel access which will allow you to access things you usually can't eg. Full speed emulators and also homebrew (browserhax affects 9.9+) Your 3DS has to be 9.2 or lower.
