Hacking PSP or PS Vita for emulating PSX Games?

Hi!
I'm looking for a PSP or PS Vita for emulating old PSX Games perfectly.
Which one should i buy? 70% i play PSX Games and the other 30% i want to play PSP Games (is this possible on Vita too?) and if i buy a Vita maybe some Vita games, but the main reason are PSX Emulation...
Is there anything special required to hack a PSP or Vita?
Please help me to make a good decision!

The PSP can do this very well and its pretty cheap nowadays . . And basically every psp can be hacked . .

but if you can get your hands on a V3.18 PS Vita with the right games on it . .definitely a vita . . since it can basically do the same but with a better screen~

i think for psx games a psp probs has a higher compatibility but you can play psp and ps1 games on a vita but from a money stand point if you dont have either your best bet is a psp because you could buy one for next to nothing i could probably buy one for like £10 so do that.

hell you maybe able to find a friend or something that will give you a psp for free you can always buy a vita later but be aware when buying a vita you have to take in account whether its been updated or not if its on 3.55 you can still do it atm with mimana lyar chronicles but if you put it off for long enough and 3.56 or higher is out and its been updated you may not be able to exploit it but from what i remember they have stopped making updates for the psp so you dont have to worry about that happening on the psp.

the compatibility on the vita is not as high besides its next to nothing to buy a second hand psp so why wouldnt you

With TN-X it is perfect, it runs every game I try!

i cant set that up on my vita because its 3.55 so i cant speculate also that requires you to own a ps1 classic

My PSVita is on FW 3.51 also with TN-V and i´ve got no problems with PSX games, the sound is a bit laggy, but who cares as long as the game is running. So, just get a Vita, you can also play PSP, PSX & VIta games, and it doesnt costs much more than a PSP.
Got my Vita for about 50bucks. The only expensive stuff is the Memorycard.

And yes, if you get yourself a PSVita on FW 3.18 & you also got a PS3 (or a friend with one) you just need Tekken 2, XS Moto or Sports Superbike 2 for perfect PSX emulation.

you dont need a ps3 just goto https://store.playstation.com and set the download off and reboot your vita as long as the wifi is turned on it will download it

Right, i have TN-X installed as well (Tekken 2), and can confirm that i have yet to encounter a ps1 games not running perfectly.
But dont take my word for it :x.

But dont forget that starting TN-X can be quite the hassle.

Start Tekken 2 -> Choose specific mode -> loose.

In all honesty though, the psp route would be the easiest for you. Playing ps1 games on the psp just works as well~

Is it very Difficult to Hack the PS Vita or as easy as the PSP? Cause the Display of the Vita would be nice...

the chances of getting a new vita at that fw is very low it would have to be second hand as far as the easiness it depends on your skill level some find it super easy some struggle so i wouldnt say its as easy as the psp

id say they run smoother on the psp because there are more mods you can use such as popsloader to help with that but as far as emulators running ive had no issues on 3.55 running stuff like that so i shouldnt think so

Yes, most games run better with the PSP, but only if you don´t got a 3.18 Vita.

If you really want a 3.18 Vita, got to Gamestop and ask for a used Vita, they can also check the FW. Or just buy one at ebay. Getting a brand new Vita with such a low FW is really hard.

i dont know what comes with fw 3.18 the ps4 remote feature may have been added later i dont know but if your asking does it matter if you have an exploit on it then the answer is no

The "latest" Software Version i found is one with 3.36...
Maybe i find one with 3.18 but all of them i saw were above 3.18
