OP
I've recently swapped a 3.52 vita for a PSTV on 3.20, and a vita on 3.15, and I'd like to install my old PSP bubbles/ISOs onto both devices.
But without either one of the devices activated, I can't re-install my old CMA backups onto them.
I have also recently used the PSP-INSTALLER mail exploit to write an eboot to the PSP/GAME folder, so if there is any way to rig that without a basegame, I'd be happy to hear how. :)

So is that the only way?
Am I gonna have to spend MORE of my money?

..or can I wait for a possible solution?
That's the only way, and unless someone finds a kernel exploit (unlikely), it's going to continue to be the only way. If you've got any friends with a PS3, you could always make temporary use of it, since you only need to do the single activation.

There's proxies, like VIta Update Blocker, that work for firmwares just below the most recent one, and usually only for a few weeks/months, but to use that would require you to update to 3.52, which'd render your trade kind of redundant.

I could possibly update my PSTV to 3.52 since I use my 3.15 vita more.

Could registry hacks possibly spoof the firmware?
I remember extracting the 3.55 FW update package, and it contained a text file which said "3.55".
I don't know whether that has any connection, but could be of some significance, perhaps?

You wouldn't be able to activate a game on the PSTV then transfer it to the Vita, you can do that from a lower firmware device to one on a higher firmware but not the other way around,

I remember the CMA backups being created on my old 3.52 Vita.
If I update, Could that solve the transfer problem?

its not about updating all that matters is you used the same psn account on both, then you should be able to copy the backup into the backup folder for your vita and transfer it i believe

run vita update blocker v1.2 then add the local ip and port it tells you to your internet connection then make sure you leave the wifi on and reboot the vita then once the wifi has come on load up the psn store, once the store is loaded turn the proxy off but leave the store open then it will let you download stuff

3.15. My PSTV is at 3.20

u may run into issues with it being 3.15 but im not sure, my pstv was on 3.50 or something and i couldnt get an update blocker to work for some reason so i had to update to 3.52 but the update blocker works on it now but the vita may be different.

i know ppl still have vitas on 3.15 so maybe you wont have that issue

I was thinking more along the lines of the vita's registry..
Is there anything in there that may spark an activation or a FW spoof?
