Favorite Japanese song

Mine is Skyclad no Kansokusha by Itou Kanako, because it sounds awesome, has great lyrics and is from the best anime ever made ( In my opinion ).

I said "Japanese songs" in the sense of them being in the Japanese language, so yeah, forgot to say that.

I was a fan of this long before the 'new' version got picked up for the ED for the Aku no Hana anime... as it happens, I ended up liking the new version even more.

Definitely worth your time tracking down the full version.

Me too, I used to listen a lot to Dou kangaete mo watashi wa warukunai, but it's gotten boring now... I've been hearing that since the anime aired, so yeaaah

That's a bit difficult in my opinion. It's like asking which is my favorite westerners song - to answer that question is, at least for me, just not possible.
So instead of naming one particular song I'll post a short list of favorite songs

I figured that fit under "favorite Japanese song", since it was the only thing I could think of. I guess I could look up the soundtrack from FMAB, Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, or Metroid Prime.

I have no idea what they're saying, but I love this song anyway.

It has English too but it's primarily Japanese. Nano is bilingual and fantastic at mixing the two. All her songs are fantastic.


Probably my favorite anime opening of all time. The full song is better but i like the animation so I usually have a tab open for that instead

It's a great song but the English version sung by Amanda Lee is actually 100x better.

Also I don't keep tabs open since I prefer good quality, but Nana Mizuki is hands down my favorite japanese singer. She is absurdly fantastic.
