OP
So I'm gonna go ahead and buy a flashcart for my N3DS 10.2. Im planning on just getting one that just plays regular DS games because theyre much cheaper than ones that play 3DS games ($120 for Sky 3DS, owch)

So a few questions: What would you reccomend? Does it work on 10.2? What features does it have? Ive been looking at this and it seems good and is priced decently http://www.gatewayultra.com/wood-r4i-gold-3ds-rts.html
Would you reccomend this one or something else?

Thanks for the reccomendation, they have the lowest prices from what Ive seen so I'll buy from them.
Will this flashcart work on my N3DS? https://www.peachds.com/?product=/r4isdhc-3ds-red-box/ What exactly can I do with it. Sorry, Im extremley new to this.
Not sure if you would want to use this website but this is the one that i use.

http://www.modchipsdirect.com/r4i-3ds-r4ds-wood.html

http://www.modchipsdirect.com/supercard-ds2-ds-two-usa.html

Either one of those should be fine. Both of those are for regular nintendo ds games and the website also sells sky3ds blue button version flash carts as well.

The Supercard is like twice the price of the r4i, whats the difference?
Pretty much dedicated gameboy advance and super nintendo emulation made only for the supercard dstwo due to the extra built in chips required to run them at good speeds. Also has mame emulation but it is too slow to bother using imo. It is the best nintendo ds flash cart that you can possibly have if you like extra features.

Well, luckily I have 3DS homebrew for that stuff so I'll just stick with the R4i

Thanks!

Would you reccomend getting this: http://www.peachds.com/?product=/r4isdhc-v2015/
Or this: http://www.modchipsdirect.com/r4i-3ds-r4ds-wood.html
Both would work on my N3DS as far as I can tell but the former appears to have more features? These are the 2 Ive narrowed it down to

The links tell you the difference, the R4i is just a regular flashcart, can't confirm if it works with 3DS though, it's just a clone of other cards, much like all the other "R4" cards out there now.

The DSTwo has it's own processor and allows save states, slow motion, free cheats (Search for values in game to create cheats like infinite health), regular cheat support, games dont need patching, can add digital guides to games in txt format. I have one and it works with my N3DS XL fine.

The DSTwo costs more because it's the better cartridge, newer versions can also be upgraded to the DSTwo+ model for 3DS roms but that's no use to you on your firmware as it's just gateway emulation.

Out of all the cards I've bought the DSTwo has been the best and is worth the extra money. I also don't trust any "R4" cards now anyway considering everyone named their clone cards "R4" at some point.
