Hacking the Hombrew Channel on Wii U 5.5.0 E

Hello everybody, I bought a new Wii U and I wanted to ask if I can put the Homebrew Channel on the vWii on the Wii U? And if that is not possible, is there another way to put a sort of homebrew software in the Wii U. Thank you very much!

You can install Homebrew Channel on 5.5.0 with a compatible game for vWii mode, however you can't use Homebrew for Wii U like Loadiine, Dumpiine or gc-to-vpad yet until the Private Exploit for 5.5 gets polished and released.

If your console is on 5.5.0 firmware then you're out of luck - for now. You'll have to wait for new developments to happen.

So if I am right... When i buy like Super Smash Bros. Brawl and put it in my Wii U, the vWii will load and I can install the Homebrew Channel trought an SD card? And sorry guys but I am all new to this and I want to understand everything so I don't do anything wrong. And fatsquirrel, thank you for putting me down like that already. I think all newcomers will love to meet you.

Basicaly yes, when you get a game like Super Smash Bros Brawl and a non SDHC card you will be able to full hack your vwii mode. Check the guides here at Tutorials section to further information. Take care to NOT install old wii stuff (mainly wad's and IOS) that WILL brick your vwii mode.

You can use more games to mod your Wii U (vWii), I remember that the 2012 version of SSB:Brawl was patched.

There also is Wii U homebrew, backup loaders, etc.
