Hacking What is the best way to buy Gateway flashcards? Also, what should I do first after I bought one?

Topic.

I want to know what can I do with it before messing with it. I heard you can do a lot of stuff to your 3DS with it, but I never bought an R4, R4i (Gold), etc. This is my first time.

Thanks.

Sky3DS? Never heard of that. What does it do?
Its runs 3DS and New 3DS titles natively, it's a plug and play cart that works on all firmwares. Theres two downsides to it at the moment you need to acquire a private header to prevent a ban while playing online, and newer games may or may not have a new anti piracy check that the card cant break, presently only two games have the new AP check. http://www.sky3ds.com/

Well, CFW doesn't play .3ds as of yet. I like .3ds roms.
It's slightly inconvenient to use CIA's (because of install times though CIA's are still better than .3DS) but if you're gonna pirate because you can't afford games why spend money to pirate games in the first place .

I see. Well, since Sky has been improved of the Blue button, I guess I'll give it a try.

Why someone who can't afford games spend money trying to pirate? Well here is several reasond why someone would:

1) Where you live: I live in the US now and I can afford to buy games with my job pretty easily, they drop the price pretty quickly and in a year you can get them in a bargain bin at $10, when I was in El Salvador I had a console but I couldn't afford games, 3 year old games still cost like they were recently released and new games wouldn't go below $70USD .. Having in mind that the Minimum wage is $8USD a day! You have to work more than a full week to be able to afford a single game, this is not including taxes of course, can you imagine to work 10 days to pay a single game? You would think it is ridiculous but inflation in other places can screw you pretty bad, of course the living cost is lower but luxuries as new tech and videogames prices still match the US average.

2) Lots of people may be able to afford a console but can't afford to buy a new games all the time, you may not be able to pay the outrageous prices every time but you could save up, buy a console and look for cheap ways to get games running, like going to modchip stores to mod your system or try to hack the system yourself and get some games running without having to break the bank for every game.

You see, this is the same problem with Nintendo's mentality, they think "if you can afford a console you also have the money to buy games" And that my friend may not be the case.

3) The 3DS may be a gift, I didn't have the money to afford games and consoles but in my birthday someone that had the money gave me a PS1, later down the road I got an xbox but it was easier to spend time looking for ways to get a softmode done and pirate games than be an slave just to play a game or two.

I know piracy looks bad, but is a victimless crime in many cases, people argue that is the same as "stealing" because the company loose money every time you pirate a game but if you didn't have the money to buy the game in the first place, where is the money loss coming from?

And here is my question for you my friend, Do you think that you should give up in your hobbies just because you can't afford them? Or look for other ways to get your hobby going?

I'm not the quoted but, tbh, I do. I don't care to that anyway and I still pirate when I don't have the money (if that sounds contradictory, well, that's because it is).

But that's not what this thread is about anyway.

It wasn't an off topic question (it was a statement) if someone can't afford to buy games and is pirating who in the hell would pay for a device to pirate when they can do it for free already :glare:.

Actually there are third party titles now. At least 1 confirmed with new AP
