Hello,
I have a question regarding injecting pokemon into my games. I know there is a method for pokemon x and y but I have never considered it (since I am not playing the game currently) . I am looking to inject the pokemon "bagon" into my save file but I have no idea how. I don't want to wait until the end of the game to get this specific pokemon because I want to make him a permanent member of my party.

So, basically, I would love help with these two questions:

1. How do I inject pokemon into my game with my current savefile using gateway.
2. What is savedatafiler? Is this the tool to use in order to achieve what I am trying to do.

So sorry! Just found the tutorial on how to do so. Thanks anyway!

I couldn't follow this guide. I have a cia version of alpha sapphire installed so I am like lost. Thanks anyway.
Your only option is to wait for a new exploit. You can't do that yet. I wish I could find a good CIA file... Does Gateway support Region Free?

Go to SaveDataFiler and in User tab look for "011C5". That's the save file of the CIA version of Alpha Sapphire, extract it and use PKHeX to make your own Bagon, ore find a .pk6 File online. Well glad you manage to do it.:grog:

SaveDataFiler is a save game manager. You download that, install it, find your Alpha Sapphire game save, and export it to your SD card. Once that's done, you you open your save with PKHex and you edit the Pokemon to your liking, save, delete the secure value, and import your save back. Profit ;) Edit: Just saw that your problem was resolved already, but at least you know how now. If you want a download pack of PK6 files I made, you can have the link

Speaking of, how can I use any software to unlock all areas in Alpha Sapphire...?
You mean like towns and stuff? I don't think you can do that, I think you just have to travel their on your own to unlock them. If there's a way, I don't know of it

Well, It's corrupted. I can't proceed.
You don't have any save backups at all? The only way now is to delete your corrupted save and start fresh, or find a completed save  You can probably speed run the game in a few days time, and if you need battle readies I have a huge pack of Smogon pk6 files that you can fill your box with.

So am I able to do this with a New 3DS that's up to date? I'm not sure how a micro SD works
Yes, but if your New 3DS is up to date you would have to use something like Tubehax and then use Save Manager... you get the same result in the end

I'm having a hard time installing save manager. I know it's probably some dumb thing I'm forgetting, but can someone help?

Where do I put the save manager file? I read it goes in the 3ds folder, which I've put it in, but when I play the application, it doesn't show up.

What else is supposed to be in the 3ds file?

Your path must be:
X:\3ds\save_manager\
And you must have 3 files in folder "save_manager":
save_manager.3dsx
save_manager.smdh
save_manager.xml

You're not lost at all. Skip step 4 and on step 6 and 7 you should instead scroll down and pick 0011C5. On step 15 you should hold R + A and then press A to import the save to your cia.

Go to System Settings > Data Management > microSD Management. That way you'll be able to open the files on your microSD card without taking it out. You are able to use browserhax or tubehax, but you'll need FileZilla or something like that.

Open up all folders for the Save Manager app until you get two files. Then go back one time, and copy the folder itself and place it in the 3ds folder.

So am I able to insert/eject without a Flashcart?
And sorry for all the questions. I'm clueless when it comes to these kinds of things. I used to do the browser trick which was way easier but now I can't do it anymore.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
