I sold my copy of pokemon X and Y and Ruby + Sapphire forever ago before I knew I could salvage their saves. I backed up all my pokemon on the pokemon transfer thingy and would like to know if anyone out there can send me some completed game saves for the pokemon games. A simple dump from their copies will suffice. I will be deleting all of the pokemon on it and renaming the trainer with PKHeX anyway.

P.S. I have googled and gbatemp searched for these saves and I have been unable to locate them. The closest thing I have found was a 3ds file with the game saved onto that, but as I use CIA's this seems to be not so useful.

Edit 1: If possible can you just send me the required files to use with Savedatafiler?

So you want a completed save for a .cia version of the game? Or just any save? I did not realize it was possible to port cartridge saves to .cia files.

A completed save file for a cia. I was under the assumption that if you extracted a save file with savedatafiler it would just be a .dat file and can be attached to any game with the corresponding serial

That is correct. (Except for the extension; the file's just called "main" with no extension in OR/AS, but maybe in X/Y it's different.)

It doesn't even have to have the same game ID if you export a save from the game you want to import it to and replace the file. In most games it would just see the copy as corrupt, but sometimes if you have two games that are almost exactly the same (*cough*Pokémon*cough*) it'll work fine.

And yes, exported saves can be loaded into either a cartridge or an installed title, regardless of which one it was taken from. I know this because I've done it before.

To add on to what you said, most of the time the reason the game sees it as corrupt is because the secure data doesn't match. To circumvent this before you restore the save with sdf all you have to do is press R+X (delete secure data) under the USER tab with your game id.

This only worked for you because you had old saves right (something about 6.x encryption)?

I recently made a backup of my Super Smash Bros cartridge. Hovever, when I loaded the newly created .3ds file, it did not detect any saves.

(I'm assuming GW's backup tool does game+sav at the same time),

So, basically hand off our hard work of sitting there for hr's, finishing quests, collecting pokemons?
Well, since I am the OP; yes I am asking for your hours of work finishing quests. As I have sold both copies of Y and OR, that I beat I need to do it again. I have however uploaded all of my pokemon I use for competitions (mostly friends) that have over 100 hours being IV/EV trained. I just don't desire to spend the 4ish hours beating the game again; as I have done it once and it would be boring.

TL;DR
Yes, please upload a finish pokemon save for me so I can play the new gen games at the end.

For nds there are many save files on the internet, I was surprised there wasnt much for 3ds but i guess the reason was emulators for pc. I also agree with your comment but its up to the people if they want give the save file.

Yeah sucky part is that I have found .sav files; but they're for older versions of the game and as such when I try to use them using my gateway it says it's corrupted. So I cant seem to find a legitimate save. I was hoping that this would be quick an easy for a gbatemp member to do.

If your game is up to date on the latest update please if u can send me to file that your savedatafiler creates. I would much appreciate it. I'm not looking for 100% pokedex. Just gym leaders and elite 4 beat. So I can do the end game stuff and do online battles. I really dont care about the pokemon on it.

Well that because it got complicate with the 3ds, why else have people not released game saves? The ability to backup game saves either requires hax (SDF), or an additional device (GW, or the Save Bank).

I will update this thread with the saves I find then. I was seeing it the opposite way. Anyone with a gateway can upload the file. Just download savedatafiler, find the serial #, dump, upload.

For OP, we have a community save thread if you're interested.

Export on 4.x with SaveDataFiler, upgrade, import with SaveDataFiler.

Where did u download the pokemon y rom sir ? Can you give me the download link ? Please
No.

Are you saying I need a 4.x DS? I dont have one :/ I saw this thread and skipped it.
I wasn't addressing you, I was talking to @tivu100

You don't need a 4.x 3DS, you just need someone to decrypt a save for you so you can import it with SaveDataFiler.
