Android HOW DO I DO THE THING WITH THE ROMS? Noob friendly pls...

So I have a Nextbook 8. Don't know what it is? Neither do I. I kid, of course. I purchased this tablet as a cheap thing to run Android on. Well, as usual, I get a device at the end of its life (Last time it happened with my iPod Touch 4. Yeah, fuck me, right?)
The only difference is with this device, I can make an update for it. Only problem is how? I got Cygwin and Android Kitchen, as of typing I am getting Oma Nextbook NX785QC8G Kit Kat 4.4.2 ROM and am about to find a 5.1.1 Lollipop ROM. Can anyone help me out on this?

I haven't installed the included Recovery yet, but am going to now I think it's a modded CWM recovery.

My goal is to make a version of Lollipop based off of this ROM. Trying to find a Lollipop ROM closest to this device so I can make the port. (using Android Kitchen)

I do have a ROM that spoofs it to be a Nexus 7. Would that mean I can use a Stock Nexus 7 Lollipop ROM for porting?
