Gaming vWii Bringing DDR to the Wii U...Properly!

Has anyone tried using the Mayflash GameCube to Classic Controller adapters to use their DDR Dance Mats on Wii U? I just started thinking about this a few days ago. Tee DDR Wii games have classic controller support and all we need is for the games to think that the dance mats are classic controller D-Pads and we're good! Thoughts?

As far as I know the Wii DDR games only accept dance mats with GameCube ports.

Making Wii games recognize the USB adapter would take some serious IOS modding. It's not impossible, but it doesn't seem like there is anyone skilled enough who is interested in making it happen.

This isnt about making Wii games recognize the Wii U GameCube adapter (even thou that would be nice) I'm just talking about using GameCube dance mats with this adapter on a Wii U...

Oh, didn't realize that. As long as the adapter maps the buttons the way the game expects it to, it would work. Pressing multiple directions at the same time might be a problem though.
