So exactly what would that help? I know that means better audio, but for developers, would that mean less resources used or less RAM usage since it's streaming audio?

Don't know for sure, but I imagine it would be easier to code for, I've seen emu devs say how hard it is to get rid of clicking etc with csound, having to use looped buffers or whatever. Should just be able to throw the audio at the DSP service and let it deal with the intricacies. I guess it might allow audio effects like filtering too.

@ihaveamac yes. i actually just implemented that and tested it on the JPN ORAS demo, which worked great. was able to change the language too

Maybe Ninjhax 2.5 works in a way that we could never guess. I know it's not kernel but damn, it sure does seem like Smea is using a lot of never before seen stuff to his advantage now, eh?

Very true! Honestly, other than dynarec, I'm starting to see no reason to have a kernel exploit personally. My main reason for kernel was to have a proper region free using CFW, but it seems like Smealum just hit the nail there.

God damn, my mind is going through all the 3DS games i played since launch day. SO MANY would potentially benefit from that N3DS mode, it's crazy that Nintendo didn't allow this from the start.
