Sorry to go back on something that's like, 10 years ago but I need some help.
I downloaded Super Smash Bros (.iso) and im using USB Loader GX to run it (I run USB loader from the homebrew channel) (I have my USB formatted and everything) But, when I try to run SSB it just crashes to the Homebrew Channel. I also noticed that it says that some games won't boot on IOS58 (Which I have)

and now for the noob question of the day:

How do I fix this?
Do I need to change my IOS for it to work?

Thanks in advance.

Are other games working ? is it specific to SSBB ?
or did you try only that game?

I think you didn't install any custom IOS, which are used to redirect Disc access to USB to load backups/iso.
but before doing anything blindly to your console, we will check what you really have.

So, please, look at my signature. There's a "syscheck tutorial" link, follow that guide and post the result here.
Thank you :)

(don't worry, I'm sure it will be fixed quickly)
And USBLoaderGX is not 10 years old, don't worry. last release is from last month ;)

Thank you for the report.

your slot 249 (which is used by USBLoaders) contains a IOS with no functions. (stub)
You need to replace it with a patched IOS (custom IOS, or cIOS) which allows you to load games from USB.

Download the installer for Wii:
- d2x cIOS installer for Wii
- extract the content into a folder on your SD:/apps/
for example : SD:/apps/d2x_installer/
- on your Wii, go to homebrew channel and run the 2dx installer and select this :

What : d2x v8 final
where : slot249
base : 56
version : 21008
Press A to install from the network (you need a working connection before launching the installer)

- After install, press Home to exit the installer.

Now you can load your game backup from USBLoaders.

Alright. Will do.

You do know that asking for help with piracy is against the rules right?

Wii is outdated, I looked for a copy of the game in stores with no avail. I turned to this because I couldn't find one.
