The game is written in LÖVE which has a lot of dependencies and currently requires OpenGL/ES among other things.

Well, it depends on a few things really. Like it was said earlier, LÖVE uses OpenGL/OpenGL ES, which depending on how extensively it's used, could be interfaced with something like Caelina. Although Mari0 uses shaders, so a shader compiler would need to be done for any OpenGL stuff. SDL2 and OpenAL could be problematic, though. It's certainly not impossible by any means, it's just missing work done to have the libraries run on 3DS.

This has already been discussed. Twice.

None of the frag shaders could be used (not supported on 3ds), for starters, but that's just some icing on the cake. You should check out the LÖVE implementation on the 3ds if you want to port it directly, but you would likely need some workarounds for functions not yet implemented. I'm personally not interested.

Löve is being ported by a Love forum user. It's called LovePotion and it's awesome. Only works some functions but it's going very fast.
