I just wanted to share experiences buying the qq3ds so other shoppers could consider this when buying.

On Sept 9th I decided to get a QQ3ds. so I went to the QQ3ds main site and used their "where to buy" page.

I narrowed things down to USAHotStuff. They were listed as "US based" and their website claimed in stock, free shipping and 1-5 day delivery. I wanted the cart for a trip at the end of the month so I figured this was a good bet.

Between the 9th and 10th I tried to order 4x times. Each time I got an order confirmation (for which they DID charge shipping) and also a note on the website saying payment rejected check with your card company.

I sent queries to the company and never got a response nor did any of the cards I tried ever get charged.

So later on the 10th I went to 3DSFlash-cart. Also in stock, free shipping and usually ships in 24 hours. AWESOME plenty of time to get the cart. So I place the order and again they charged shipping. Extra $2 no big deal.

I again got a credit card rejection notice but the charge showed up on my card. The next day I had a confirmation so I hoped things were "OK" I emailed the company explaining I need to be sure to have the cart the last week of Sept (I know they don't care but it can't hurt). On the 12th I got an order update saying the cart had shipped. GREAT NEWS.

On the 16th the DHL site finally updated with a "shipping information recieved" and the 17th I started seeing an "in transit to e-commerce facility" indication. I figured it was on it's way to the e-commerce facility in my state from NJ which was where the cart shipped from. On the 23rd the site updated again and it said arrived at e-commerce facility.

but... OH NOES! It made it from New Jersey to the e-commerce facility in New Jersey in those 7 days ahah. WHAT?! It would appear that 3dsFlash-cart hadn't even gotten the package to DHL for 12 days from the order date (or NJ just has really show internal shipping :) ).

So now the package has a projected delivery date of Sept 30th. Sadly I'll miss it for the trip. So it's about 21 days shipping from an in USA company and warehouse :(

Also they charged an extra 6% (that was not on the invoice but was on the credit card charge). The provide a warning that it might by "your" bank charging extra and it isn't their fault due to outside of USA payment handler (my bank doesn't add charges like this but rather as a separate transaction fee so it is definitely their payment handler and they should disclose this and disclose the fee)

Anyway sorry for the long ramble but I wanted to share facts rather than bash anyone for their business processes.

So.......you expected to arrive from out of the country within a matter of days? I hate to say this but that site doesn't even look like its located in the US.

Ha,

well if you read the post you'd see is shipped from NJ, unless they are faking DHL data which I guess they could do.

Yes of COURSE it is a chinese website and a chinese payment processor, what tipped you off? hahahahah. Brilliant.

As for a few days to arrive, no, we're not shopping at Amazon kiddo, IF you read the post I was hoping for it to arrive in just under 3 weeks. I buy from china a lot for business and personal. 3 weeks is pretty reasonable but not guaranteed of course from China.

Knowing the warehouse was in NJ made me more hopeful. Do I wish it showed up sooner of course! Did I buy a few 3ds games 2 weeks ago just in case it didn't come? Why yes I did.

so, yeah go ahead and S**T on the post. Not looking for sympathy, and no one benefits from yer trolling, but who am I to argue with a 2500 post guru, you've been in this scene for a whole year and a half!

When I was shopping I found a lack of reviews on sites and shopping experiences so I thought I'd share just the facts and help other shoppers out, so let's keep this thread useful.

Thanks for your super valuable comments though.

i thought all the qq cartridges were sold out for good. since they were exact copies of the sky3ds card and sky3ds is no longer selling to the people who made the qq cards. this is all from fuzzy memory though i may have missed something

Yeah I read something about that. It wasn't clear to me that they truly cut them off. I can't remember either. I had somehow convinced myself that if I ordered one I'd actually get it though so I'm either dumb or the info along those lines wasn't that convincing.

I'll definitely post an update after I get back from the trip and try it out so everyone will know if there were issues (quality, not really a blue button or anything else)

I dug deeper and found that one site was registered in the UK, while the other was registered in Canada. Both had ips from Cali. Dunno but something always fishy about that kind of information.

Oh cool thanks for checking tony_2018. I never bothered to see who the domains were registered to.

I agree, every single one of the QQ3ds seller sites are super flaky!!

Anyone know if the SKY3DS vendors are less "fishy"

Well, considering the QQ is an exact clone of Sky3DS, you should have just gotten a Sky to begin with...

Well that's kindof a dumb comment considering QQ3ds is cheaper, functionally exactly the same, AND I get a free NDS cart (which I specifically wanted).

Given that choice why would anyone buy a sky3ds unless they had 0 use for the NDS cart? Anyway this is a discussion about vendors not the merits of a particular cart.

you make no sense Mr. fanboy.

I dont own sky because I have GW. Fan boy I am not. Id rather have a true supported product then a QQ which is likely to die from the scene well before Sky. And NDS carts are dirt cheap ($5 shipped), but I would urge you to get a supercard DSTWO if you were to go looking.

Either way, you asked why to get a Sky and I offered you the most reasonable explination. Anyone here would agree I'm sure.

my miscommunication then, the question of why to get a sky was rhetorical so sorry for wasting your time to answer. Since the QQ and sky are the same, support is moot. Once you have one whether it "dies" or not is irrelevant.

Now a DSTWO for $5 would be nice.

Wish I could use a gateway, that's the card to have! Sadly my N3DS came with 9.6

Anyway, if you can make a pitch that the SKY3DS VENDORS are better and more reliable, THEN I think you have an argument.

I had the qq3ds its not a clone at all its a sky3ds with a different sticker on it. Basically sky3ds sells there cards in bundles and stickers must be put on from the vendor but some of these vendors are reselling the cards with there own stickers. Really its the craziest business practice i have ever seen

That wasn't my point................. but it doesn't matter because I wasn't the one looking to get something cheap and trying to get it shipped quick.

I would have charged them back for such behavior, extra $$$ for shipping ? And extra % for the cart ? What the hell ? They deserve to get mad and go bankrupt.

Lot of moron posts in this thread, but that's what I expected. Anyone telling me I am dumb for buying the best value cart and hoping for in US shipping within two weeks is just being a little bitch for the sake of hating.

Anway, I got the carts today (they arrived on the 30th). Both work just just fine and as expected. Very happy with the product. Seller still is disappointing.

Still curious if all the sky3ds and gateway fanboys have better seller experiences.

"You get what you paid for"

Seems to refer to alot of things regarding sales.

Tony_2018, Seriously? Are you just going to keep bumping the thread with stupid comments that have no relevance, or rationale behind them? Is that how you got 2300 posts? I respectfully ask that you don't post in this thread anymore, even to reply to this. PLEASE.

Found your problem. Well, their problem. DHL is just the worst. Just...the worst.

Ya know it's funny you say that. I've used DHL from China a LOT (our business depends on 2 day shipping of PCBs from China) and I've found them to be extremely reliable. But this DHL USA to USA was pretty slow. I didn't have too much problem with it though, what was a bummer was that the seller took a pretty long time to even get it into DHLs hands, beyond that it was like typical ground service plus a couple days for the USPS handoff.

I have a sneaking suspicion that they wait for their shipping trucks to be full before they ship them. Shipping trucks meaning 16-wheelers that travel cross-country to various hubs. With fedex and UPS, the trucks go at certain times regardless of how full they are. But if you waited until they're full before you moved them, then you'd save a lot of money. I suspect DHL of doing this in the states, but it's just a suspicion.
