All of the schools I've been to have had site blocking implemented in them somewhere (Managed to bypass that at Primary school) But now I'm at a high school with actual IT guys the blocking is a lot more strict, I can't even find a way to bypass it. But the good news is they haven't blocked me away from here! (Even though they blocked the chat section...) So now whenever I'm bored in class and have access to a computer I get to sit there and browse through this wonderful community! The only issue is that it automatically logs me out after reaching page 5 of the recent content area.

There really isn't a point to this post I just thought it was interesting and worth sharing!

(DISCLAIMER: I DO WORK AT SCHOOL! I DON'T JUST SIT HERE BROWSING!)

Hashtag? As in the number sign? I've seen some people use it over on Twitter in the little time I use it and some people have mentioned it on YouTube videos, so I know it's a social media thing. I'm not entirely sure what it's for, nor do I particularly care. If I did, I'm sure I could have found out via googling by now.

As for the topic, keep spending a lot of time on here and I'm sure they'll fix that. :P

My school doesn't block GBATemp either. I was kinda surprised at first but I'm not as surprised now that I know that my school doesn't block Twitter either.

We're given inaccurate as all hell reasons for why sites are blocked when they are blocked, though. Like, the Nintendo website was blocked because it apparently contained alcohol and/or tobacco related content.

Because why not use a hashtag? Makes it sound hip :P
Nah, it actually just makes it kinda annoying.

My school has an Active Directory and forces us to use a Squid HTTP proxy. In primary I could use a VPN on an iPad, in secondary it's unblocked.
Weirdly, each computer is different - some will allow me access to youareanidiot.com, others cannot. Interestingly, my tor subdomain is fully unblocked. And unless they know the site, no-one can use it via HTTPS (They are not MITM-ing stuff)
