So i'm looking into getting a pc (I already have a desktop) I need it so I can program on the go as well as a couple games what would you guys suggest it can be anything from a bestbuy pc to a overkill gaming pc as long as it is below 2,500.

Edit:
If someone can find a:

White laptop
1080p HD
Chroma Keyboard (aka rainbow backlighting)
GTX 970m or above
Built in Video Camera
8 or more gb of ram
Good speakers
Thin
15" or more
Runs at cool temps
I will love you forever

Unless you plan on gaming in 4k 60FPS and hosting a business class web server 2.5k is overkill. What are you going to use this computer for specifically?

So a laptop?
I recommend one of the Clevo custom-built laptops, several different companies sell them under their own brand (Sager, Origin PC etc.), they have better value for money when compared to almost all other gaming laptops. You can get them in different price ranges and with different specs depending on what you need.

Edit: Have a look here http://www.sagernotebook.com/15-Laptops/

If you will only be running older games or non demanding ones like indie games etc. then you might be better off with something more like an ultrabook since it will be lighter, slimmer and easier to bring with you.

I'm going to use it for web design/3ds development, video editing and gaming.
Ok but at what quality of gaming are you looking for? Do you plan on gaming at 1080p, 1440p, 4k and do you want a laptop or a tower? Also what quality do you plan on rendering your videos in?

I wan't a laptop. If laptops can go to 4k then 4k if not then 1080p. I'm new to the laptop world so that is why i need help. I've only gone with macs for laptops but everything i do now requires windows and i don't wan't to run it off a vm

Then you would have to buy pre built :/ ill look around for a bit and tell you if anything catches my eye, 4k gaming on laptops in not good since the laptop would be heavy and over heat badly.

You don't need a VM to run windows on a macbook and can easily dual boot it with bootcamp.

You should also state in your main post that you want a laptop. "I'm looking for a PC (I already have a desktop)" is confusing.

okay i see. Then i'll downgrade to 1080p. Rather have a cool laptop then a hot one
Yeah, I would recommend the NP8258 over the NP9753. Way cheaper and doesn't sacrifice much on specs.
4K on a laptop is really rather pointless, it will just make it really hard to read text due to the small screen unless you scale everything up or run at 1080p anyway which will kind of ruin the point, also laptop graphics are much weaker than desktop graphics so you will probably never get good FPS at 4K unless you buy some beastly SLI 980M machine. I'm not even sure those exist yet :P

The NP8258 will be powerful enough to run new games well but keep in mind a GTX 970M is not the same as a desktop GTX 970 and you should not expect a laptop to perform as well as a desktop (unless you are comparing a high-end laptop to a mid-range desktop ;) )
A laptop GTX 980M might be comparable to a desktop GTX 970.

okay i see, sucks you can't build your own laptop because i'd prefer mine in white with a chroma key keyboard yet all i see is black.

I think you might have some issues finding laptops in white, it doesn't seem like a popular color outside of Apple products.
Not sure what you mean by chroma key keyboard. Nevermind, saw the OP. Well, the Clevo/Sager products do have a backlit keyboard with multi-color lighting but they don't give you full RGB color and you're limited to 3 individually colorable zones, you can still achieve a rainbow effect with it but it doesn't give you the kind of control some desktop gaming keyboards would. If you like flashy gaming laptops with lots of LEDs you might need to get an Alienware, but you will be paying a large premium for the design :P
