Hacking Editing Ocarina of Time Save Files

Hey guys!

So I've ordered a Gateway and a JP N3DSLL. I'm aware I'll need a Japanese copy of Ocarina of Time, and a dongle to put the hacked save on it.

What dongles are compatible? Is the "Powersaves 3DS" compatible for it?

I can't find a definitive answer here, and the guide doesn't give any specific names :-;

Any help would be appreciated

You won't be able to use a powersaves to put the save on there

Are you looking to put the gateway launcher on there?
If yes, the only way to do that is to use another 3ds with the gateway launcher running to install the save..

Alternatively you could ship your 3ds to someone close and have them downgrade your MSET See Here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/official-free-nvram-installation-thread.388695/

You won't be able to use a powersaves to put the save on there

Yeah I am. Is there no such dongle that could install the save then? like the R4 one :/

The game is Japanese and I don't have anyone with a Japanese 3DS.

Is there an MSET downgrading guide for the public? I could *probably* do it myself in theory.

You can use the r4 save dongle, were you under the impression you couldn't?

Powersaves could be used with a bit of a trick.
