HELP!! There's 2 models of wii; the kind with gamecube support and the kind without. I have the kind without unwillingly and I'm able to play gamecube games with nintendont and I'd like to use my physical copies (supported by nintendont) but my wii spits them out. Is there any CIOS I can install or something?

D: Sounds pricey, I'd rather do some soft modding rather than hard modding if possible; if not then it's not worth it.

It's been shown that the disc drive can be physically modded to not reject the discs, and soldering on a set of GC ports does indeed work. Hang on, I'll the find the info and edit this post.

A trove of pics of a successfully modded Wii, but no instructions. However, I can clearly remember someone posted a pic here a few years back that pointed out some spots to cut out from the DVD drive or something. I'll dig some more.

EDIT2: GOT EM.

THANK YOU!!! I'll see if I can make the little adjustments to get my wii to hold gamecube discs. I see now it's physically disabling the discs from being read rather than the wii just deciding to spit em out
