Ah, Not really a Tip seeing as I do that all the time with the Hatsune Miku Demo.

Pretty sure this is the case.

I guess we could roughly say that they meant to say something along the lines of:

Here's a tip that allows you to use the Super Smash Bros. 3ds demo from the eShop unlimited times. Just turn off the 3ds while you're still in-game and the usage count won't go down.

I think the OP is saying that if you hold the power button without closing the game properly, it doesn't count you as playing it.

The only reason you would use Smashhax right now is because it's an alternative to Ironhax. Tubehax requires internet connection while Smashhax and Ironhax does not.

are you sure, i thought smashhax also needed an online connection (or rather, something able to send an online signal?)

also, since i only have the special unlimited smash demo, i tried this with a demo of sonic boom and the counter went down still

From what I've been reading, the exploit is using local-WLAN broadcasting, I don't think it's sending anything online.

If that's not what the OP means, I think he/she is saying that you shouldn't exit out of the game or turn off your 3DS to keep the counter the same.
