Okay, so right now I have a very peculiar set up for my Wii U, my monitor has HDMI in for the Wii U, and the picture looks great and the lag is very minimal, thank goodness, so that's all hunky dory, however, the problem is the sound. I can't fine my Wii AV cable for the left and right channels and was thinking of using the audio jacks via the monitor, however, that didn't work, even with the volume up. Is there any way, to use something like an aux cable, with a y-splitter to the speakers? I'd like to know if this is even feasible. Thanks ^_^

The Wiiu is using the HDMI cable for video, it expects whatever is on the other end to handle audio too. If your monitor has not speakers, I am pretty sure you are SOL.

It does, actually, but what I'm trying to do is output the audio from the monitor, which has the Wii U going through, to the actual PC speakers, if that makes any sense. I think a picture might help, not sure.

Wii U, connected to monitor via HDMI

Monitor has speakers too, but I'm trying to route the monitor sound to PC speakers via an adapter. It's a weird set up, but surely there's a way. Pretty much, divert audio from PC monitor speakers to PC speakers.

If your speaker setup uses those old RCA cables or even a normal 3.5 mm jack you can connect your wii u to your speakers by plugging in both an HDMI cord as well as the old RCA adapter (from the original Wii) into the back of your Wii U. In the Wii U audio settings there should be an option to enable audio output of both.

Edit: Keep in mind that if you're using a 3.5 mm jack you will need to buy an RCA to 3.5 adapter.

Please reread the OP, the problem is I can't find the AV cable for my Wii, which I've used in tandem with HDMI, but I can't, and I was trying to see if I can hook up my HDMI to the PC monitor, which it is, but divert the audio going to the monitor and back to the Logitech speakers. Is this even feasible?

I don't know how I missed that... You might be SOL unless your monitor has audio out in some form. For example I'm currently using my HDMI cord in my TV to get an optical signal for my headset with my wii u.

Yup, there are built in speakers for the monitor, and the Wii U does play through those speakers, and there is an audio in, and what seems to be some output, the port is brown in color for the 3.5 mm jack. It's weird, I know, but IDK if it's even possible to do this.

I'm not following why you don't just route the monitor's internal speaker's input directly to the external speakers?

Because it's not working, I'm thinking there's a setting in Windows to do that, either that or the monitor simply doesn't support it. I'll look up the monitor model I have and post it here.

or couldn't you use your wii cable?
I thought you had an older wii.

I do, but that's downstairs and the Wii U is with me in my room.

Wow, dude, that was totally unnecessary and brusque, you didn't have to say that. I can't use the Wii because my brother uses it and he comes over everyday, he has his console, I have mine, there are no spare cables to me to use, I have to buy a new Wii cable on Amazon for like, seven dollars, but holy hell, there's no need to call me out like that.

Well, that's my fault for not mentioning him, that being said, swapping cables isn't feasible right now, unfortunately. I need to get a new one.
randomizer, this is what I was saying in the blog :]
Vins is just being pokey (as am I :P), don't think of us as attacking you. It's more like playful questioning
