When was the last major update to the gateway?

Just wondering if I will ever be able to use it with the current firmware?

We don't know. It might happen someday. When? it could be tomorrow, or it could be next year, or it could be never.

Coming from a person who owns Gateway, short answer, no.

Whenever there's a hint at a new possible solution for higher firmware they announce it months before actual release, to get everyone hyped and not go for competition.

yeah seriously, whats the point of asking "if it will". If they say they have something big coming they usually do post it on there site. But I usually wait for the video for better confirmation, just like support for 9.2.

Well, since I am new to Gateway, just trying to find out how often they do updates and whether they are up on the newest firmwares. That's all.

I agree with Ra1d. In last few years of GW, whenever there is a chance of something big to release they keep on hinting it at every incremental GW update post (as well as warn not to update and such like for example their 5.x - 9.2 support update).
Currently they are hinting towards cheat support, so that is what they are working on and they will release it.
They never mentioned about any progress on N3DS after their OOT and MSET exploit for N3DS (and the last update ever is the new games 3ds fix but that is for both O3DS and N3DS), so I assume they have no success so far.

I dunno, but they said Cheat support is coming. I own a GW and am curious how cheats will be implemented (in game menu like with the SC DSTwo)? It has been about a month since their last update, hopefully something will happen this month too :)

I think it would be something like patch file (or template) for every game. BUT if they are going for RAM address modification (like freemultipatcher does) then it would be like previous gen consoles' "on-the-fly" cheat codes :D

Someday (Always keep your hopes up) But you really dont need a gateway emunand greater then 9.5 really in my opinion) - Remember when the N3ds came out, they sold out in a few days. If Nintendo screws up again with a firmware update, imagine the amount of n3ds consoles they will sale.

When it was released and only supported 4.1-4.5, an awful lot of people said that was it. It would never support later firmwares. I remember the insanity and the pessimists.

We had to wait almost two years i think, but support below 9.2 was found. Look where we are now, with a handful of exploitable consoles in a huge range (4.1-9.2), with custom firmwares and other stuff.

So... Currently it can't, and it might not be able for a while, but take with a grain of salt those opinions that include the words "never" or "impossible" when it relates to this matter.
