Hello, I currently have homebrew installed to my Wii so I could boot isos from flash drive and also boot regular game discs. However, a curious friend had gone through Multi-mod-manager and may have changed some things. All I know now, is that my games will be recognized when put into my wii, but then won't load after you click play. I honestly have no idea what he did. I have reinstalled DiosMios and DiosMiosLite since I know that they both boot different games (one being GC and the other Wii), and I have had no luck with either. Any help is appreciated. Thanks a bunch :)

reinstall your ciosses, i think he over writed them with nintendo's stub versions. the games will be recognised but they can't load for the patch won't start.

I am currently reinstalling Dark Corp [Regular Mode] to get clean cIOS installed. Then, I'll try a legit GC disc to see if it can get past the black screen that occurs.

Okay, after reinstalling Darkcorp, my current set IOS is 249. And my Homebrew is now upside down .-. and also, the game still tries to boot but black screens before the Dios Mios sequence would show up on screen. Any thoughts?

reinstall latest legit ios 30 up to ios 80 by using dopmii (latest non stub), that should restore your upside down issue (darkcorp is not the best option there is, i reall do sugest you'll leave that package)... dios mios might be overwritten by mios again, why don't you use nintendon't?

Yeah I think he may have deleted or overwritten the ios needed to read the game disc. Just like the guy said above you will have to reinstall everything. Be careful because your Wii may be very corrupted. If you can't fix it tell your friend he has to buy you a new one.

If homebrew is upside down re-install it using a different method. Also can it run GC games?

Before all of this happened, it could run GC and Wii discs, and GC and Wii ISOs, depending on the version of Dios_Mios I had.
Now it can't run anything.

Ask your friend to buy you a new Wii. Your Wii is semi-bricked and it may be far beyond repairs. Unless somehow you could figure out a way to upgrade your Wii using a disc, but your Wii can't run discs. Unless you could tell me EXACTLY what he did I can't help you.

I walked in on a screen in Multi-Mod Manager with a large amount of mumbers being displayed. I could choose the number, but i decided since I didn't know what it was for, I shouldn't mess with it.

EDIT: It was IOS Manager. I am currently trying to figure out what is causing the black screen after clicking a game to play. For the time being, screw the Homebrew upside down channel. that's an easy fix. I just really want to get this thing back up and running. Is there any way I could wipe the IOS back to Factory? Or like, Upgrade to Wii v4.3U even if I lose HomeBrew Channel? Just getting the thing to play games would be good enough, as I could easily just reinstall HBC afterwards

Here are some steps to upgrading your Wii. Get a game that does disc upgrades (Mario Party 9). Use a homebrew application (DOP-Mii) and delete the shop and news channel. This will cause an error in the Wii reinstalling its version. Works for me, but there is another option if you have a NAND backup.

I'm assuming that the Mario Party 9 trick won't work in my condition though, since I can't boot past the game launcher itself? Or will I still be able to somehow bring up the update window that would normally show up?

If you follow my steps the disc channel will say pending update. Then update. (This won't remove homebrew.) If that doesn't work then I have a harder solution. Also the game doesn't have to be Mario Part 9, but Mario Party 9 is the only one I tried this with. (When you click update the Wii finds an error and reinstalls the shop and news channel, but also finds an error with the IOS of the Wii. It could possibly say "Cannot update due to corrupt files found." if so then we will have to do this the harder way.)

DIOS MIOS and DIOS MIOS Lite are essentially the same thing, it's just one allows you to run GameCube games from SD, the other from USB. If you want to run from the actual GameCube disc again, you need to reinstall the official MIOS, not DIOS MIOS or DIOS MIOS Lite. As for the Wii games, well it would be easier if you post a SysCheck.

No... that is not what DIOS MIOS does. You can only have one of them installed at a time and both are for GameCube games. The only difference being that one is for USB only and the other (Lite) is for SD only.

I would not recommend using DarkCorp and I would suggest you follow @JaapDaniels' suggestion. Replacing every IOS with an identical cIOS is a really good way to screw up your Wii in unpredictable ways, so the best place to start is by replacing all those cIOSes with their original unpatched versions.
If you really want to load burned discs directly from the disc channel you can do this with Priiloader by forcing Wii Menu and disc games to use IOS249, that way it doesn't patch any of your existing files and it's easy to revert by just disabling the Priiloader hacks. However I had my brother's Wii set up this way and he discovered that it caused compatibility issues with certain (even legit) games, so I just disabled the Priiloader hacks and told him to use USB Loader GX to load burned discs instead. That's for later though, after you've gotten your Wii working normally again. For now you should focus on that.

You can use MMM to reinstall the IOSes. It would help if you ran sysCheck first and posted the logs: https://gbatemp.net/threads/syscheck-hacksden-edition.356133/
That will help us see the extent of the damage done and give us an idea of what needs to be fixed.
I'm 100% sure your Wii is fixable, so don't worry about that. As long as you can still run homebrew there's always a way.

If all else fails, there's the last resort option of generating a completely vanilla new NAND from scratch and restoring it with BootMii. But restoring a NAND backup is risky in itself unless you have BootMii installed as boot2 which only older Wiis support.

Although you are wrong about Dios_Mios in 1 way, you were right about the cMIOSv10 installation. I used a wad install and it did the trick. Even Wii games work now, although I am not sure why. SO, thank you everybody! The problem is now solved thanks to you kind, caring people. <3

That's good. I would still suggest you post a sysCheck so we can help you get rid of DARKCORP as there are much better alternatives. Getting rid of DARKCORP will also fix your upside down HBC.

In what way am I wrong about DIOS MIOS? Honestly, for NGC games, I'd recommend Nintendont at this point, anyway. Your MIOS shouldn't have any effect on Wii games, so I'm still curious about a SysCheck log.

Just restore your last NAND backup, that should get it fixed. If you didn't make a NAND backup before hand, well... you're not very bright. ^^;

i never made a nand backup, never needed one, just as long as i can get into bootme/preloader or whatever i can restore almost all bugs without a nand backup... why would i waste my time?
it takes double my time, never in all wii mods i made needed (that's around i think over 50).
only one wii was bricked beyond soft repair, then again, it was highly corroded, so a nand backup wouldn't have helped me there.

you were wrong that it kills reading original gamecube games if you use dios mios (lite) you can't play backub discs though, that would require cmios, nintendon't sometimes failed me, it sometimes can't get through the init procedure... but most wii's it works perfectly.

just a shame i live so far away cause i'd mod your wii (and fix it if it's only software/battery/bluetooth or wifi)
