Hacking Noob looking for best multi purpose 3DS and New 3DS (N3DS) setup

First I thank anyone who takes the time to read this even if they aren't able to help me

Second I will tell you a bit about me and thus my....needs?...well really they are more of strong desires XD

I am in the process of trying to learn a few languages (yeah I know I'm crazy and aim wayyy too high) though since I am also trying to study to hopefully get my CompTIA A+ I am currently focusing on two, Japanese which I started longer ago and Spanish. I also just plain love gaming.

If at all possible I would love some way to play Japanese games (not just region 4 since I hear it doesn't work with Tobidase doubutsu no mori (Animal Crossing: New Leaf), play cartridges AND roms/cias/3ds/3dz/whatever, goof off with the Homebrew things, play the latest games ( in English, Spanish, or Japanese), and if at all possible being able to connect to the eshop and internet features would be wonderful ofc<3

I have heard of ways to do multiple emunands and have heard of ways to do region free with them and make CIAs work but...I am having a hard time figuring out how to make all the features work at once...if it is even possible...

I will be getting a 3DS at firmware 4.x, New 3DS at 9.0- 9.2 (unless the seller lied to me lol) and a Sky3DS blue button card. Would prefer to be able to do it without buying anything more ofc. Also I plan on doing the hard mod nand dump on both when they arrive....if you have any tips or warnings for that also...that'd be really appreciated too

You can use the Sky3ds to play out of region games using Cubic Ninja > Ninjhax > RegionFree from Sysnand - If some games don't work with that method, you can install the games as CIAs in cfw.

For cfw i'd suggest Reinand (For N3DS); If you want to follow the link in my signature, it'll get you up and running.
rxTools for O3DS.

Now for playing out of region games on Reinand, you'll need to use NTR 3.0 (can be used alongside cfw) or FreeMultiPatcher
As for homebrew, you can use Cubic Ninja on your Sky3ds to launch Ninjhax
You'll be able to access the e-shop using FreeMultiPatcher which was linked above.

You can have multiple regions of emunand on multiple internal SD cards, you'll need a 'sacrificial' 3ds to do so. There are a couple of guides on how to do it, you'll just have to search for them. (3DNUS is no longer an option - you'll have to download the files directly from 'that 3ds site with isos')

Along with what you already bought, you'll want a reasonably sized SD card for the O3DS & a reasonably sized mSD for the N3DS (If you're going to be installing games as CIAs)

You do not need an Emunand for Reinand, but it's highly recommned (much safer to use than Sysnand); even if you have a hardmod, why risk a brick if you can easily avoid it?

hi, do u know how to do the mset thing without a ds flash card???
I thought reinand 2.1 support mset?
FBI shows succeed, but it always crash when I tap ds profile

You can try launching it a couple more times (Launching into cfw / emunand doesn't work 100% of the time)
If that doesn't work try re-applying Reinands ROP.

Edit: I assume you've already installed NVram, Mset and other stuff.

I stuck at mset loading reinand, everything else is fine, I already did sys-emu xor.
for now, I can only boot reinand from hb. it's like pasta.....

btw, I'm on a n3ds ll with sysnand 9.1.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'sys-emu xor'

Have you been able to launch anything else via the Profile exploit? Like the Gateway Menu?
If you can, i'd try reinstalling the ROP for Reinand, or using a different copy of FBI / redownload it.

sry, i mean the sysnand - emunand unlink.
i dont have gw card, never use the profile exploit before.
should the newest fbi will be ok?
I try a few version, they all said succeed install.

Unlinked Nands doesn't matter.

You don't have Gateway & never used the profile exploit before, that's fine.
Have you installed the Mset exploit before though?
Have you by chance followed my guide? If you have, you should be all setup, if you haven't you can go through it & just skip the steps that involve emunand.

I follow your tutorial, use all the file from your mega rar file except reinand 2.1, still crash on the nds profile
