Hacking whats my best method to install CIA games on 9.9 (or run region free sky3ds games)

whats my best CFW or other method to either install CIA [OR] play region free games on red button sky3ds? running old 3ds 9.9 with youtube homebrew menu launcher

as things are now, because the sky3ds red button is constantly changing games it cannot run region free with red button via homebrew region free cart launcher. i know the answer might just be 'you can't' but im fully expecting someone to have a method to install and play CIA games with what i have. naturally with sky3ds this means i have cubic ninja technically.

to be clear, im not asking about region free CIA games, just region'd CIA games at all. ive been out of the scene for like 9 months and just gave myself the homebrew launcher a few minutes ago, and want to know what the best answer for cia games is, as there are alot of methods, and rather then go through everything confusingly ill just ask here

You can't, CIA format games can only be installed/played upto 9.2 firmware.

Tubehax is your best option for region free.

If your red button doesn't work with Ninjhaxs' Region Free, you're screwed though.
You could try Ninjhax 2.0 with Region Free since it gives a visual of what game you've switched to, idk if that'd solve your problem though.
If your red button just starts switching beyond its limit, then i'd suggest reorganizing your games. Also... Don't know if that's the case though.

Red button should be fine for regionfree. The Sky3DS is just pretending to be a cart really, REALLY hard and once your rom is set as the active loaded one, it can be treated the same for all intents and purposes.

I have a sky3ds red button too.
Red & Blue are identical, you just need to push the button for 3 seconds and release to bypass the 10 game limit

I think you should have the regionFOUR if you use the homebrew starter kit from smea I used it and had it, it works perfect.I don't know how to use cia's as well.(Hope I helped)

You need to sell your 3ds and buy one with 9.2 firmware or below. It's your only option.
If you where thinking about using CFW why did you update in the first place??

actually, i cant say i care about CFW all that much as i do just playing games, but i actually own a second 3ds on a very low firmware, i was simply expecting there to be better options by now, as im keeping my main 3ds up to date for safe online play, and using my other one for not so safe play. i just was hoping for region free on my main, cause its a new XL.

in other news, for the first time, thismorning i ran a region free game, it always failed before cause red card auto swaps, but i guess whatever i did this morning worked. it really suprised me to be honest, like an actual out loud OH SHI-! suprise cause i tried much so yesterday to no avail. i guess theres a trick to it. in any event, now i can import JP games and play them online on my main, so it doesn't matter, but the option is awesome to know for translation patches and the like, such as fire emblem if and beyond the labyrinth 3ds.

i just didn't expect so much hate from everyone thats basically go kill yourself you fucking nooblord, like hoooly crap people, chill the fuck out. last i checked the GBAtemp boards, altho somewhat snotty at times, were generally a pleasent useful board, this felt like i was dealing the league of legends community.

I didn't realise asking about running region free with red button was such a soft spot for the community, in any event i managed it and it works, but damn. and for those who care, i heard about it may on a in dev/testing/trying to get it to work thing, its not like it ads anything really new or great that we can't already do even on the most recent firmwares anyway, i dont see why everyone decided to take such a harsh resentment to me bringing it up, i had clearly said ive been out of the scene for awhile, i don't know whats out or not. all i know is what i have works fine, and theres no real reason to buy into anything new, when everything i have already lets me do anything i could want anyway. the card their supposidly working on doesn't even have anything actually 'new' anyway, just adding community added features just as the blue card did before it. no reason to snap at me.

and no, i wont be responding to anyones hate posts or otherwise. all i cared about is what i've now sucessfully got, homebrew, emus, and region free gaming.

You won't be able to play fan translated games with the Sky3ds. You'd need to be on a system that's 9.2 or lower with cfw or Gateway.

Without an official link / announcement from the Sky3ds team, as Marko76 put it, you were either misinformed by someone spreading false rumors, or you simply made it up yourself based on speculation(?).

Not only that if it was true it would be all over the forums but you are the only one who has mentioned the new sky 3ds so either you have inside info from sky 3ds that nobody else has or its false information.
