I got IronHax/TubeHax for my 3ds. I also have CitrAGB. Every other GBA game that I have works fine, but when I do any pokemon game it doesn't work. Some games (firered, emerald) will load the text screen with copyright info, but then nothing else happens. Other games (ruby, sapphire) will just go straight to a black screen.

Do I need different versions of the games or is it just because they are new programs and this could be a problems that need "ironing" out? Or am i just stupid :D?

Any help would be nice. I have the old 9.9.0 on a 2ds.

Thanks for everything, Ashley W

CitrAGB was designed with a vulnerability in mind that allowed kernel access. That vulnerability doesn't exist on newer firmware. So the emulator has to run with interpreter emulation. So it's hamstrung on newer firmware, and even then it's still fairly early in development. So there's two good reasons why it's having issues for you.

Thanks for the comments. I understand it is new and there is "bugs" still. And the emulator is still in development too. Just would like to play the pokemon GBA on 3ds but eh, I'll wait or fork out the money for a GBA SP and games. Just wish they were cheaper. Each game cost about $15 and I have bills to pay. :( Thanks again!!

Actually, gbaemu4ds plays ruby/sapphire quite well (no border support) if you have a DS flashcart. I don't know about Firered/Leafgreen though.

I do have a r4 flashcard which holds many games but gbaemu4ds has that weird file that you have to change the games and I don't know how to do it right, I don't think just changing the file extension works too well.

You mean renaming .gba to .agb?

It tells you on the site---

"2. copy the gba homebrews and roms you want to play to your SD (the ending must be .agb, .bin or .mb (.gba dose not work at the moment (this does not work because wood disallows it. I can't fix that. Ask the creator of wood)"

That part doesn't work for me when I change the file extension to .bin or .mb

Thanks.

Has thier been any updates/work on any emulator recent for GBA emulation on 3DS or Flashcards? Everything looks like it is dead on the Github.
