Why on gods green earth would you do that? It's then an unsigned app like any other warez and it needs an exploit to launch it --defeating the purpose.
And injecting ninja would be a disaster if you don't know what you're doing anyway. Pointless.

He can use DevMode with rxTools to install FBI as Health and Safety app in sysNAND, then install Cubic Ninja in sysnand, I did it to install Ninjhax with rxTools and Cubic Ninja CIA....

So installing CN unsigned CIA over the health and safety app actually makes it bootable from SysNand?
Thats pretty cool! Does this work on n3DS too?

Yeah sounds too good to be true but the guy before me is saying it works ..so wtf
He's saying you can install FBI over the health and safety app, then use that FBI to install Cubic Ninja, but the more important issue is that Cubic Ninja wouldn't run from sysnand without an exploit.

I wonder if the OP is the same boat at me, trying to find a way to boot into rxTools [or similar] without internet access. If that's the case, then a system downgrade to 4 to allow the DS Profile Exploit would be the way to go, or using a beta of rxTools for the exploit to work on up to a 6.x console.

When you are in Devmode in rxtools the signature check is disabled so you can boot unsigned cias, thats how I installed ninjhax, using a cia of cubic ninja.

The thing is , i need to install Cubic Ninja on my sysNAND but if i do so , i guess i couldn't launch it but since FBI can be launched it means that if i somehow put Cubic Ninja in Health and Safety app it could work

I basically need to install and be able to start Cubic Ninja on sysNAND

You won't be able to launch it on sysnand without first booting a CFW. End of discussion.

I don't know why you would bother when you can just install a CIA of Cubic Ninja. Sure you can install it to sysnand and use it. But you have to boot into a CFW that patches out sig checks because it will not boot otherwise. It doesn't matter what you inject it over. FBI only works because you have to be in a CFW first to use it. If you are looking for a way of booting into CFW via Cubic Ninja installed to sysnand, you're wasting your time.

Currently the only way to use Ninjhax on sysnand is if you boot certain CFW that doesn't use firmlaunchhax to launch a newer native_firm. (or you could just use Ninjhax 2.0+ to get around that issue)

CFW like rxTools has a "devMode" that won't launch newer native_firm so you can use existing exploits and still use older Ninjhax versions. But again, you can't use Cubic Ninja as an installed game outside of CFW. The only way to do that is if you own the physical cart or have a Sky3DS flashcart.

Otherwise you'll save time and effort by just installing it as a CIA as there's really no point at all trying to inject it over a system app.

I'll try devMode then , thanks for the reply.

Yeah just go to "Advanced" menu in rxTools GUI. Boot devMode from there. Things like Ninjhax and such will still work. I have a CIA version of Cubic Ninja installed to sysnand as a normal game. Ninjhax works from there if I make sure to launch rxTools in the right mode.

A neat trick too is install the EUR and USA version of the game so you can have both nh 1 and 2.

How would that work if both use boot.3dsx during the exploit loading process? You'd have to find a way of modifying the payload so one of them use a different boot.3dsx file. Otherwise you can't have both on the same system.

Also, if I wanted to install two of the same game, I'd just modify the ex-header to give it a new title id/unique id and repack it. I wouldn't really bother finding one from a different region. :P

Last I check the newest boot.3dsx is backwards compatible.
I mean obviously, there is only one repo of 3ds_hb_menu.
