I'm not sure! I haven't messed with themes yet because the theme site I tried was down.

In the case of Gateway SysNAND, the eshop just deleted invalid themes. I figure it'll do that and revert to your base theme.

I guess I'll just get Tubehax and worry about custom themes later. Thanks again!

As for Custom themes if you have one on it just don't update keep wifi off unless you go to boot tubehax or if you have ironhax then you don't need wifi

I keep receiving the error code: C8804465 when trying to install Ironhax. I have made a savefile, yes. I tried every slot and I tried both 1.0 (which I have) and 1.1 on my 2DS 9.9.0-26US. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I just want to have an easy back out of this if i just wanna go back to an unhacked state if I wanna download things or be able to play smash/acnl/pokemon online... It sounds like it may not be worth it for custom themes at the moment, but I may just not understand it.

Found the solution was to copy all files from
https://smealum.github.io/ninjhax2/starter.zip
to root of sd card and next time the process worked.

Testing now, I originally had the starter .3dsx one but saw smea's reddit comment on /r/3ds and used that one instead. Will edit when I try it.

I just don't know if custom themes are written to the system somehow or to the SD card, and if its the hacked or official system loaded part of the sd card as well. I'm going to leave custom themes alone until I'm sure its safe though, but I'm just trying to understand.

You will be fine. The eShop will try to delete them if it can, but otherwise you're ok.

As far as I know themes are loaded into the exdata(I think that what it's called) which I believe is just re writable memory. Basically from what I think you are asking is how do you uninstall custom theme all you have to do is load any other themes from the theme menu.

Guys, I messed up with my 3ds and I had to format it, Tubehax works fine, but I don't have Ironfall, I don't mind about having to use wifi to use the homebrew channel, tubehax is here to stay? or it's just provisional?

I get a Red Screen when running homebrew on the newest boot.3dsx. When I run the older version of boot.3dsx I can't install .cia's via FBI. Is there any way for me to be able to install .cia's besides FBI? I'm on 9.9 so I can't run any sort of EMUNand all of it is on SysNand.


EDIT: Hell even if there's a patched boot.3dsx I'll take that

I think it is here to stay as it does not use youtube servers at all. Since the youtue app is modified browser it loads youtube.com when you start the app. This means that you can trick it into think that another website/server is youtube.com by changing the wifi dns. So as long as you dont update the 3ds firmware or update the youtube app it should work. Also since tubehax is depend on smealum dns server(the one that is being used for the hax) so that mean if it goes down you be left without a way to use the hax.

I'm running 9.9.0.26U on Zelda MM gold edition N3DS, followed the instructions for tubehax to the letter, tried all the various 3dsx versions people have used and stated it worked for them, but its clearly not working for me. (I'm no noob to Wii/vWii/PS2/PS3/Xbox/360/PSP & vita hacking so.....)

I have deleted and tried again more times than I can remember.

The only thing I havent tested is using an alternate wifi connection: could this be the cause?
(edit: I have a Virgin super hub 2)

make sere after copying the files from the homebrew pack to the sd card you change you dns then load youtube then after that you change the fw to the new 3ds to the 9.9 usa then run it.

for tubehax I pick Old 3DS 9.9 (latest version) for original 3ds right? Old 3DS just means not New 3ds right?
