Homebrew normal 3ds homebrew crash

on my captureboard 3ds, everytime i load an app with the exception of a couple like the doom simulator, the extdatatool and possibly the regionfree thing, it crashes. anyone know whats going on and or how to fix it?

i have to use tubehax as i dont have one of the other 2 methods. old 3ds v9.9

Try using this boot file. Simply drag'n drop to the root of the sdcard. (Decompress it first)

well, something different happened thats for sure, but it doesnt solve the issue sadly.
im instead stuck on the loadup and i dont even get to the homebrew screen

Da hell? It worked fine for me, I'm sorry it didn't work for you Maybe it's because of the region? I really don't know. Btw, have you double checked that you were hitting the right console, version and region on the tubehax menu?

well, 6th times the charm i guess. somehow it worked. i really hope the lack of consistency with this isnt telling me to buy cubic ninja for the sake of having a method that doesnt require online to use.

Now do other apps work? With the boot I sent you or the normal one? Cubic ninja is really expensive right now you'll see. Smea is probably updating the boot so things like this don't happen but you'll continue to need a conection to boot the hombrew launcher.. Oothax is near and you maybe have it or you could find it cheaper than CN.

they work, but only when youtube decides to not crash on me while getting to the homebrew menu.
my new 3ds xl doesnt have this issue thankfully and ironfall lets me use it anywhere, but it doesnt have a method of capture. i dont trust katsukitty although that might just be me not wanting to spend another 500-600 to have it internally installed. the 3dscap board was 245 as it was.

EDIT: scratch that, the homebrew browser still has yet to work for me on either system, same with the ftbrony thing.

That's a normal thing, some hombrew apps don't work with ninjhax 2.0 because they were designed to run on 1.0 and still haven't been updated. Hombrew browser is one of those, but ftbrony should work. Take a look at -> this <- thread.
