Announced at D23 Expo in California, Square Enix announced that one of the newest worlds featured in Kingdom Hearts will be Disney's Sanfransokyo from Award Winning movie, Big Hero 6. There were no images or trailers released sadly, (but at least there is cool fanart.)

Pretty sure Frozen will be in on it. That movie is like an epidemic. I don't mind though since it'll make KH3 more famous I just hope it would be an optional quest or something. hahaha

I would like for it to be more like the Winnie the Pooh world in the first two games. I'd actually like a fully fleshed out Winnie the Pooh world with enemies you can fight... they would look so cute! :D

So is tentacle porn, but that doesn't mean it belongs in this game.
What does belong in this game? In fact, why does Kingdom Hearts exist? The concept of mixing Final Fantasy and Disney characters made my skin crawl and my blood boil ever since the inception of this series, I don't know why it has fans and why it didn't make people hurl when it was first released. Just because you can mix mustard and cake doesn't mean that you should.

Honestly, I felt the same way when I first heard about it. Then again, I was an angsty teenager back then, so I had an excuse. But what exactly irks you? Are you a Disney fan but hate Final Fantasy? Are you a Final Fantasy fan(tasy) but hate Disney? Or do you simply dislike what you consider to be unnecessary mashups? For case #1, you probably aren't interested in Japanese RPGs, so there's no reason for you to be mad in the first place, since it's out of your wheelhouse. For case #2, do you hate Disney in particular, or just kiddy things? For case #2.a, I guess that's a fair stance, but there's definitely different quality levels in the various Disney series and franchises, so you shouldn't let bad apples spoil the bunch. For case #2.b, I can understand. While I love JRPGs, I absolutely hate stories where friendship and/or love conquers all. KH definitely fits that, but the combat and nostalgia factor are decent enough for me to enjoy it. For case #3, while some things may seem at odds with each other, together they could create something great, like chocolate and peanut butter forming Reese's. KH isn't necessarily great, but I don't think it's as vomit-inducing as you say it is.

Some things just don't mix, and Disney and Final Fantasy are one such pair. I enjoy the gameplay, don't get me wrong, but when I see the first Disney character it stands out like a sore thumb and makes me heave. I heave even more when the characters are brooding, which is almost all the time. I have no delusions as to what Kingdom Hearts really is - a massive cash grab. The Japanese love Disney, they love Final Fantasy, they love terrible storytelling, the emo characters and the JRPG elements - Kingdom Hearts is all that mashed up and ground into an edible paste they can ingest with glee, not realizing that they're being served a cheeseburger blended with a strawberry milkshake. Kingdom Hearts is the Soylent Green of Japanese video games and to me it's total garbage.

Well a lot of people clearly don't see it that way considering all the sequels and spin offs that have been justified to be funded and produced and obviously many people buy it outside Japan. Personally, I think KH is one of my favourite series, if not my most, and I think one reason is that the game surprised me. When I was a kid, browsing in a game shop one day with my parents, my mum looked at this game, "Ohh, this looks good", I looked at it, I see a heart-moon on the box, and donald/goofy on it, "Nah, it's gonna be a kiddy game", we left it. Then another day in the future, mum bought it for me anyway, so gave it a try at least, as to not be a dick, and I ended up loving it ever since. The story was just not was I was expecting at all, it was a challenging game, and I didn't find the game "overly" kiddy at least, I guess it's more seeing the disney worlds in the eyes of someone who hasnt experienced them before, yet it's all possibly familiar to you. At least most of it was to me. While the story is "convulted" as some say and even I, don't think I would go through the ordeal of explaining all of it to someone, I do still enjoy it, I want to know how this all ends, and I think it's the plot that really ties the whole game together, disney+FF, without it, I don't think it would have worked nearly as well.
Just pretty harsh to say most of what you say as if it's a fact to everyone, only thing you can say that's a "fact to yourself" is your opinion of the game, you can't really claim to know how others see the game.

I always wondered if I would like this series if they removed all the Disney stuff and make it more of a lower age entry into the Final Fantasy Universe. I mostly dislike these games because I imagine that Square is taking time to localize these over Dragon Quest and that makes me mad. But for serious, please stop buying these games.

Popularity is not a factor in whether something is good or not. There's McDonald's restaurants all over the place, but we don't consider their food to be gourmet. Lowest common denominator entertainment tends to sell the best anyways because it doesn't require a refined taste - it just crams together things people like in hopes for the best, throwing stuff at a wall to see what sticks. There's never a shortage of angsty teens who'll feel engaged in games like Kingdom Hearts. No offense, you're free to like it, I just think the game's not for refined tastes.
