After finishing P3 earlier this summer, I dove headlong into Persona 4 Golden for the Vita. One of my friends bought it for me last Christmas and I would have felt bad putting it off any longer, even with my summer list of games looming behind me, and summer isnt getting any longer.
Just about everything in P4 is better than 3 (IMHO mind you), except for the story. Not that the story was bad, it just felt necessarily Scooby-do-ish. I didn't really like the whole living in a back water town at first, especially because of how much I really like port island (persona 3). But everything else was great. The social links, the dungeons, and other mechanics were superb.

I didn't really understand the ending and/or Adachi's motives... He killed 2 people and then decided that he wanted people to live in blissful solitude? weird. And I would have never guessed the Gas station employment. I dont know, I guess I didnt understand the motives really. But It doesnt really matter, the game was fun as all get out anyways. And I really loved that it didnt leave me cold like P3 did.
I think im in love with Risette
