Is it possible? I've never tried homebrew before. I've heard bricking from only Gateway related things, or installing things to Sysnand. I'll be only using homebrew if it is 100% brick-proof.

Not through Ninjhax alone, no. Ninjhax just lets you run user-made software on your 3DS. In order to brick you need to modify system files. It's certainly *possible to do* with Ninjhax, if you have the right software (FBI with the right elevations, for example), but it's unlikely you'd stumble across something that'd brick your system.
Yes, you can brick by corrupting homemenu extdata, although that's not ninjhax's fault specifically.
But the exploit does allow that access. Only download homebrew apps from trusted sources and you should be fine. (ninjhax 1 has had this capability too but no-one has tried it to my knowledge)

No it wont, you would need to modify system titles which would require you to be on 9.2 or lower
at worst you could soft brick which can be fixed by holding down the power button.
Even for 9.3+? The person above you said you can't though.

my school has a chrome extension called light speed filter agent and it legit blocks YouTube pfps since the file cdn(I think aka yt3.ggpht.com) is classed as mature -

It was easy to bypass some of the restrictions, as one of the admins left a registry key in the administrative shares drive, which allowed me to get around the blocking of some sites.
