Del Toro and Kojima to continue work on future horror project

Despite the enormous, burn the earth take down of PT and it's utter cancellation, Del Toro and Kojima's dream of giving the rest of us Nightmares has not ended yet.

In an interview with IGN, Del Toro announced that both he and Kojima continue to collaborate and talk about the future of their horrifying project Silent Hills. While it will not be the silent hill title everyone desired, something new, and utterly horrifying, can still see the black of night yet.

We most likely won't see anything about the project until much later, but you can bet with these two horror enthusiasts working on it, it'll be something to be reckoned with.

I really look forward to seeing the Kickstarters. Think of the possibilities!
  • Quiet Mountains (a horror game)
  • Steel Cog Hardened (Strategic Sneaky Activities)
  • Steel Cog Hardened Dos: Children of Freedom
  • Steel Cog Hardened Tres: Serpent Muncher
  • Steel Cog Hardened Quatro: Firearms of the Nationalists
  • Steel Cog Hardened Cinco: The Ghostly Boo-Boo
  • Steel Cog Ascending: Recipribution

Btw, I totally spent 5 minutes in front of a digital thesaurus trying to make up a combo synonym for Revengeance. So if they use it, I expect to get paid for those 5 minutes!

Source doesn't specifically say the genre of the something they are working on together.
Considering Del Toro is a huge Horror fanatic, Kojima has wanted to work on a horror game for forever, the previous collaboration they had, we can pretty much assume their next game isn't going to be "Happy Happy platforming extravaganza."

It could still be something else than a horror game.

I was kinda worried about Kojima, what with him saying he'd stop making games if he screwed up TPP, and then the split with konami...
Glad to see he's still making things, regardless of whether it turns out to be a movie or a game.
He seemed pretty depressed around e3.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more of a stink about his name and the kojipro logo getting removed from the covers of TPP again.
