OP
I have a 3DS rom file, and I want to know if there is a way I can put it on my 3DS to play.
If anyone knows a guide, link or anything really that would help, please share!

Yes, turn off your 3DS, take out the 3DS SD card, put it in your computer, drag the ROM you want onto the SD card, eject the SD card, put the SD card into your 3DS, turn on your 3DS.

You have a 3DS rom on your SD card now!

It's really that simple? I don't need homebrew or anything like that? Wow.

She did, she asked on gbatemp.

You need to put the .3ds files on a flashcart for the 3ds (blue3ds, gateway, sky3ds, qq3ds)

Or you could convert the .3ds to a .cia by looking in the relevant sections of this very forum.
People here love making big wordy pictury videoy tutorials on things.
After that, you'd need a cfw like pasta or rxtools etc. to play it on your 3ds.

First things first. Are you on an old 3ds or a new 3ds and what version?

Depending on the version and type of 3ds we can continue providing details, for example rxtools(o3ds) or cfw or 3ds cards (I would recommend Gateway if your firmware versions are from 9.2 or below, and sky3ds if on 9.3 and over. )

Yeah it works great but it's the obvious Ds factor you loose from it it's not like playing atari games on atari because Nintendo actually use to give a reason to buy their hardware

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Can't be that far off from it not like ds requires super hardware
  • HiradeGirl @ HiradeGirl:
@K3Nv2 I did that using Citra for 3DS games. Bottom screen was my smartphone. Until I got the touch screen.
