sorry bad english, I tried my hardest long one hour trying to write without grammar errors.

I always liked to buy original games, but, Brazil is suffering a horrible monetary crisis, and this affecting my business, since I work freelance doing handicraft, my money nowadays is really few...

I have a Wii-U with wii mote and nunchuck, I do not have a Wii.

I want to begin to play pirated Wii games, since I have no more money to buy them anymore.

To Hack a Wii-U I need a certain game, and the price of this game is around R$ 150,00 to R$ 200,00 while a used Wii is around R$ 350,00 without wii mote and nunchuck, not a problem since I already have it.

What is the best choice ? Buy a game to try to hack my Wii u Or try to gather more money and buy a already hacked used Wii in near future ? ( maybe in 2 or 3 months I will get sufficient money to buy it, I hope, at least )

Too bad, do not exist any "free" way to hack my Wii U. I need to buy a Wii game to hack it. R$ 150,00 is a lot of money and I have fear to fail hacking it and brick my wii u. Maybe the safest way is to buy a wii console already hacked, but, R$ 350,00 is small fortune, I feel dizzy only thinking about to spend so much money, then, I do not know what to do...

Ei, não se esqueça de mencionar qual é o firmware que você tem na sua Wii U. / Hey dude, don't forget to mention the firmware your Wii U's on. ;)

I'd go with a Wii. That way you won't have to juggle two separate HDDs for your Wii U, you'll get native gamecube controller ports, and properly powered USB ports. Not much of a difference, but I find it more convenient to use a Wii separately.

Version 4.0.0 U

Hack your Wii U using smash bros brawl from a friend. You only need it for one time.

All my friends have a Ps3 or xbox 360 . My nephew is the unique person that I know that have a Wii, but, the unique game that he have is wii sports...

Maybe wii was a very big success in USA, but, not in Brazil. And nowadays is worse, since Nintendo do not officially exist in Brazil anymore, all wii and Wii U games need to be imported... Then they are very much pricey...

Is impossible to play game cube games on a Wii U with hacked wii mode ?

I mentioned the controllers, as in the gamecube controller ports. Yeah, Nintendont works fine on Wii U, you just won't be able to use the native option for GBA linking and stuff like that.

The GC controller ports are a bit more convenient, but some Wii models do not have Gamecube controller points. Don't spend more money than you need to on something that is less likely to work.

Hacking vWii (Wii mode on Wii U) is practically the same as a Wii, minus the native Gamecube support already mentioned. However, with Nintendont and a USB controller, you can play Gamecube games on your Wii U. And of course, you can still play all the same emulators and Wii games on your hacked vWii. (Besides ones that require Gamecube microphone, dance pad, or a few other unusual peripherals.) Just buy the cheapest game you can find that works with the hack, and make sure you have a 2GB (or less) SD card.

Thank you very much for all people that posted advice in here, I am very grateful. I will check Brazilian ebay (mercado livre) site every days until one of those games be to sale for at least minus than R$ 100,00 ( R$ 150,00 is so much expensive ) When a game like this be at sale for this price I will buy it and I will hack my Wii U.

Not true.
Perhaps I should have worded it differently but this is what I meant anyway;
Don't worry about it. 5.4.0 can support homebrew, nothing was patched. They just have to port the exploits to the new firmware.
It might be a while before that happens, but there's not much you can do with homebrew at the moment anyway.

Be aware of two things that those people here forgot to mentioned. First: An older Wii allowed you to burn Wii ISO on DVD-R and playing on homebrew of Wii. A newer Wii won't allowed you but required to play wii iso/wbfs through hard drive. If you prefer to burn Wii ISO on DVD-R then get an older Wii. If you prefer Wii iso/wbfs in hard drive to play instead then I highly recommend Wii U instead. A vWii in Wii U still won't allow you to burn Wii ISO/WBFS on DVD-R to play in Wii U at all. You think about it. :)

@WiiCube_2013 Either you are misunderstanding what the poster is asking about or you are misunderstanding the current "hackability facts" for the Wii U.

If it's the former: The poster asked if he should "buy a game to try to hack [his] Wii u" or buy a Wii. Clearly, he is talking about hacking vWii mode and is interested in playing Wii games. Whether or not Wii U mode is hackable is inconsequential to the original poster's question.

If it's the latter: vWii mode can be hacked with many of the same methods that a Wii can, and this is regardless of firmware version. It is very unlikely that this will ever change. With the latest firmware, you can still hack the Wii U with Smash Stack, Bathaxx, or various other game-specific exploits. Now then... The kernel exploit (which is unreleased) for the Wii U mode is not currently compatible with the latest firmware, which is why some people get confused about whether the Wii U can be hacked or not... But that is irrelevant to hacking vWii.

Oh okay, soz. That's good to know so whenever I want to hack my Wii U it's always pronto for the Wii Mode.

Might purchase an SD Card of 16GB-32GB, stick in a USB adapter and use on the Wii U or just stick to the Wii which is already hacked and has the GameCube ports.

Id say use a wii for the wii hacks. its alot safer. I never messed with my wii u's vwii. not much of a point when i have a hacked wii sitting right next to it. I prefer to keep my consoles then to rely on backwards compatibility. If you hack the vwii just be carefull
