I saw a video about how to run PS1 games on Vita using Tekken 2 and it seemed pretty tiresome to get through it, so I was wondering if there'll ever be a better and quicker way to play PS1 games on Vita/PSTV?

I already own Crash (1-3, Bash), Spyro (1-3), Gran Turismo (1-2) and other PS1 games so don't really want to repurchase any of them again digitally.

Suppose time will tell.

The easiest way to run PS1 games on Vita is either buying from PSN, or using a TN CFW in PSP mode for piracy. That's pretty much it right now. If you have a TN CFW available on your firmware, have at it. If you don't, well, that's that. As it stands, maybe a solution will come if somebody builds a PS1 emulator that functions with Rejuvenate, but that's the only potential path available right now. Even then, if you're on 3.52, there's no getting Rejuvenate, so that's pretty much that.

I'm on 3.20 and with lots of PSP games to catch up so if nothing better than the Tekken 2 exploit comes up, I'll use that. :-/

PSP is better for PS1 games, since it has sound.

TN-X (no plugin, no slowdowns) has sound (as does TN-V, but it uses an emulator plugin, and it has slowdown in a lot of games), so a PSP is not necessarily "better", perhaps just easier to set up and use PS1 games for.

That was my point, actually.

Does this still utilise the Tekken 2 exploit? It looks pretty simple but only saw what this video showed.

It's a shame there's no simple method like Patapon 2 to run PS1 games because I've already bought the PS1 games I want to play and paying for them again, plus digital copies which I'll never own doesn't leave me very pleased. :-/

I bought Sports Superbike 2 and been playing Crash Bandicoot flawlessly!

At first I was getting annoyed as to why it wouldn't load anything or move but as it turns out I was missing the TNV folder, though after being transferred it worked.

PSTV is one awesome micro-console. :)
