Hacking Questions About Gateway and the New 3DS XL

Hey guys! I am currently looking into buying a New 3DS XL and just had a few questions.

1. Does Gateway 3DS currently work for the New 3DS XL?

2. How do i tell when buying my New 3DS XL that my console is version 9.2 or under? Is there a certain barcode number or something that i could look for?

New 3DS has two choices:

1. Gateway (Requires Cubic Ninja or Zelda Ocarina of TIme initially)

2. Pasta CFW (Requires Cubic Ninja)

So if you wanted a free alternative and you already have Cubic Ninja, I'd say give Pasta CFW a try.

If you still want to go the Gateway path, I can sell you mine for $50. It'll come with a 32 GB micro SD.

No, unless you consider using a Sky3ds to emulate either of those games not using them. But a Sky3ds would cost more than either game.
