Hardware 8GB isn't a whole lot.

Thought it'd be more than enough for my PSTV needs but actually adding it all up it'll fill up quite quickly, so it's better to go with 16GB or bigger.

Will see to it if I can return for store credit to get the 16GB.

I am always temped to get a PSTV. But... I really just wish that Sony would do something like enable Vita to TV or something.

How would they though? The Vita has no video out, and I doubt it's powerful enough to transmit a high quality low latency video signal while running games.

i remember yifan and other hackers saying that the mystery port is actually a video out port , even Shuhei Yoshida from Sony said that they were planning to make a video out cable for the Vita but then decided to make the PSTV instead for some weird reason .
the mystery port is still working but the FW doesn't support it .

Huh. I thought I remembered something about the mystery port not being wired directly to video, but yeah, if it's possible without too much trouble, they really should just do so.

I really want something to happen about it but i doubt it will , either Sony is stupid or they have another plan or something , but the PSTV's idea was a stupid one , i mean only a bunch of games are playable on it and it has no use at all ! i don't know what they were thinking when they first came up with the idea , a HDMI out cable would've been a lot more useful if you ask me , Sony even said that the Vita's native resolution is 1080i and it even has an upscaler inside it .... but no they had to make the TV ..

Considering Sony never made a "PSP Home Console" this is as near to it as we'll ever get.

I think that you are probably right, of course.

1. I am pretty sure that there is a psp.iso launcher for the ps3 now, wonder if eventually we might at a Vita launcher on the PS4.
2. I vaguely remember there being a PSP hack near the end of the psp scene life that allowed for video to be exported to a screen though the mini USB port. Which i thought would have been impossible.

I used to play monster hunter and dbz on my TV doing that the quality was kind of bad (I have a really big TV) but it was stupid fun

On the topic of, you know, Vita memory, I personally only have 8GB myself, and I've learned how to make it work. I don't know if the Vita TV can use it, but managing games with CMA instead of deleting and re-downloading every time can be a real time saver. As well, being able to back up saves to PS+ helps, since Sony went full retard with the Vita save management and made it so deleting a game deletes the save too.

oh Remotejoylite you mean ?
yeah that thing was awesome , even when the psp was dead back then , and since plugins are almost impossible right now on the Vita , i doubt there would be anything for it in the near future .
we just need to access the kernel and the direct usb port and then everything would be possible with them .
