Ok just tested. It does break Gateway multi-rom like the past two updates have done. So Gateway emunand still works but multi-rom doesn't. It might also break region-free in Gateway and in CFW that have region free. (but I don't have any out of region titles installed to test this)


EDIT: Note that Europe/Japan did not get an update to Home Menu. So it's likely multi-rom for gateway still works for those region consoles.

I can confirm that the multirom still works on my EU and JP emunands.

SKY3DS works on 9.9.0-26 without problem.

Looks like only Home Menu, internet browser and nver/cver was changed. It might break multirom on Gateway again, but I don't see this causing issues for CFW (on o3DS anyways)

apparently update 9.9 was just released. not home yet so not 100% sure but what i'm seeing indicates no issue for ninjhax 2.0.

It depends, do you rely on Gateway's multirom menu? That's about the only thing that would break, you should still be able to boot into Gateway Mode.

I just booted up my emunand and it asked me for a firmware update and I almost clicked yes! If this update kills region free on cfw, it might as well brick my system because that's all I use this 3DS for.

Weird that only USA got a Home Menu update, and only EUR got a EULA update.
